Michelle Obama and Louis Farrakhan Take On Whitey

I learned over the weekend why the Republicans who have seen the tape of Michelle Obama ranting about “whitey” describe it as “STUNNING.” I have not seen it but I have heard from five separate sources who have spoken directly with people who have seen the tape. It features Michelle Obama and Louis Farrakhan.

They are sitting on a panel at Jeremiah Wright’s Church when Michelle makes her intemperate remarks. Whoops!! When that image comes out it will enter the politcal ads hall of fame. It will be right up there with the little girl plucking daisy petals in the famous 1964 ad LBJ used against Barry Goldwater.

Barack may have quit his church but his religious problems are not over. Barack Obama has a Nation of Islam problem that will receive more attention in the coming days. Before Barack came on the scene, THE MAN in his political district was Louis Farrakhan. No one could take Alice Palmer’s seat without Farrakhan’s blessing. No one. I do not fault Barack Obama for seeking out the blessing of Farrakhan, but the story of what was done behind the scenes to get rid of Barack’s predecessor—Alice Palmer—has not been told. A knowledgeable source tells me that Tony Rezko played a direct role in this feat. And Rezko has been tight with Farrakhan.

It also should come as no surprise that Barack hired two members of the Nation of Islam to work on his staff—Jennifer Mason and Cynthia K. Miller. (And no, I am not merely recycling info initially reported by Debbie Schlussel. I have two independent Chicago sources for this info.) If Jeremiah Wright and Michael Pfleger had kept their yaps buttoned none of this would mean much. But the fact that both men have been—until scrubbed from the website in recent weeks—listed as spiritual advisors to Barack Obama and also are very close to Louis Farrakhan, forces the question about Barack’s faith and beliefs.

In probing those matters we begin to understand that the Nation of Islam has been a critical component of Barack Obama’s base of support. And, I am told, Louis Farrakhan has been careful to use Tony Rezko as the intermediary in his relationship with Barack. This is not guilt by association, this is guilt because of actual relationship. Farrakhan, Wright, and Pfleger are each on tape in various settings spewing the most vile racists garbage in the guise of preaching. Barack Obama, up to this point, has tried to pretend he had no idea that these men had these thoughts or said these things.

NONSENSE!! He knew and he knows. And the gig will be up when the Michelle tape hits the airwaves. One source described how this tape was acquired. Let’s just say that one of the republican candidates who is no longer in the race, but had a dandy oppo research capability, uncovered this gem.

If Republican poohbahs have their way the tape will remain on ice until October. But when it comes out, Barack will be permanently branded with the Nation of Islam. That’s not a winning platform in November. And Barack’s bundlers understand this threat. I also have learned some major financial backers are asking the Barack team about the tape and are being stonewalled. It is a wild card in the political campaign that has not yet played out.

Cindy Hensley McCain has been disparaged as a trophy wife, a Barbie, an heiress with fancy purses, even the Paris Hilton of politics. But there's more to the picture than meets the eye.

Yes, Mrs. McCain is the perfectly coifed blonde standing dutifully behind the senator during his speeches. And yes, she wears stylish clothing and carries a Prada purse. And it's true she doesn't say much. But feminist critics who write her off as a "stand-by-your-man" shrinking violet are selling her short. In many ways, Cindy McCain stacks up sturdier than Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama. And she'd make a more impressive first lady.

Mrs. McCain: More than meets the eye.

While Obama's wife has been hating America , complaining about the war and undermining our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan , McCain's wife has been worrying about her sons who actually are fighting or planning to fight in the war on terror. One, in fact, was until a few months ago deployed in Iraq during some of the worst violence.

You don't hear the McCains talk about it, but their 19-year-old Marine, Jimmy, is preparing for his second tour of duty. Their 21-year-old son, Jack, is poised to graduate from Annapolis and also could join the Marines as a second lieutenant. The couple made the decision not to draw attention to their sons out of respect for other families with sons and daughters in harm's way.

Cindy also says she doesn't want to risk falling apart on the campaign trail talking about Jimmy who was so young when he enlisted she had to sign consent forms for his medical tests before he could report for duty and potentially upsetting parents of soldiers who are serving or have been killed.

The McCains want to make sure their boys get no special treatment. Same goes for their five other children, including a daughter they adopted from Bangladesh . During a visit to Mother Teresa's orphanage there, Cindy noticed a dying baby. The orphanage could not provide the medical care needed to save her life. So she brought the child home to America for the surgery she desperately needed. The baby is now their healthy, 16-year-old daughter, Bridget.

Though all seven McCain children including two Sen. McCain adopted from his first marriage are supportive of their father, they prefer their privacy to the glare of the campaign trail. Another daughter, Meghan, 23, helps him behind the scenes.

Cindy McCain not only cherishes her children, but also her country, which in an election year filled with America-bashing, is a refreshing novelty. She seethed when she heard Michelle Obama's unpatriotic remarks that she only recently grew proud of America . "I am very proud of my country," Mrs. McCain asserted.

She also may be tougher than the other women in the race. While Hillary thinks she's come under sniper fire on mission trips abroad, Cindy has actually seen violence. She witnessed a boy get blown up by a mine in Kuwait during a trip with an international group that removes land mines from war-torn countries.

Mrs. McCain also is a hands-on philanthropist. She sits on the board of Operation Smile, which arranges for plastic surgeons to fix cleft palates and other birth defects. She also has helped organize relief missions to Micronesia .

During a scuba-diving vacation to the islands, Mrs. McCain took a friend to a local hospital to have a cut treated. She was shocked, and saddened, by what she saw.

"They opened the door to the OR, where the supplies were, and there were two cats and a whole bunch of rats climbing out of the sterile supplies," she recalled. "They had no X-ray machine, no beds. To me, it was devastating because it was a U.S. trust territory."

As soon as she returned home, she arranged for medical equipment and teams of doctors to be sent to treat the island children.

Michelle Obama may contribute to CARE, which fights global poverty and works to empower poor women. Cindy sits on its board.

While the Democrat women talk about helping the poor and needy, Cindy McCain actually rolls up her sleeves and does it. Who's the out-of-touch elitist?

Freed from Gitmo, he blows himself up in Iraq

We have seen Gitmo recidivism before, and it's no surprise. When the inmates there see American soldiers handling the Qur'an with gloves, in implicit acknowledgment of their unclean status as non-believers as per Qur'an 9:28, what is disabusing those inmates of their conviction that that same Qur'an, divinely inspired, commands them to wage war against infidels?

"We were shocked by the painful news we received this afternoon ... through a call from one of the friend's of martyr Abdullah in Iraq," said Salem al-Ajmi in a telephone interview aired by Arabiya. [...]

Abdullah, 30, had a son after he was released from the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where the United States holds suspected terrorists, Salem said....

CAIR: The Treason from Within; Another CAIR Official Indicted

On Wednesday, 26 March, a Grand Jury indictment against Muthanna Al-Hanooti was unsealed in Michigan. The indictment accuses Al-Hanooti of violations of 18 and 50 United States Code. The specifics include allegations that Al-Hanooti provided information on members of the congress who were of interest to the Iraqi Intelligence Service (IIS), acted under direction of the IIS, accepted payments in oil (two million barrels) from the Iraqi government for acting as its agent, and provided a written brief to the Iraqi government outlining methods that could be used to lift the sanctions then in place against Iraq.

Al-Hanooti was the executive director of CAIR’s then-new regional office in Michigan at the time he committed the alleged crimes. Once again, we see the dirty black hand of CAIR connected to yet another arguably traitorous individual who apparently sold out “his” country for 30 pieces of silver.

For over a decade, we Americans have allowed CAIR to dictate to us how we should behave, believe, and react to Islam in our country. We have kow-towed to CAIR’s demands for special rights based on Islam; watched our law enforcement genuflect at the feet of radical Islamists; observed our president and other elected leaders contort our language to comport with CAIR’s demands, and we have, for the most part, remained silent.

Silent, no more!

How many CAIR connected radical Muslims will we tolerate before we DEMAND of our President that he close down CAIR as he did the Holy Land Foundation?

How many treasonous acts are too many?

What is the tipping point for CAIR-connected crimes against our country?

How many of our brave warriors must die in the war on terror before we close down what is arguably the Embassy for Hamas in North America - CAIR?

The day has finally come when we Americans can no longer say about CAIR that “we didn’t know”.

CAIR has told us, numerous times, that they are here to defend radical Islam, that they want the United States to become an Islamic dictatorship, and that they approve of the actions of many Islamist terrorist groups and individuals; including those that terror-murder on an almost daily basis women and children.

Skimming By the "R" Word

The figures are in. We've managed to dodge a bullet (no thanks to the media) of a recession. The growth of the US economy was only 6% for the last 2 quarters. Yes we have inflation, but we are NOT in a recession.

Here's what ticks me off. Shortly after Bush started his second term, the "R" word popped out, and like an ugly high-school rumor, media and others started tossing it about as if it were gospel.

It ain't gospel.

It was a rumor.

I'm no economist, but I am optimistic and refuse to go with the crowd until I see the figures. It's just that simple. Folks from all over the world email me. All of them told me we were in a recession. I promptly replied with my usual "Bullshit!" comment.

The part of the USA that I live in is remarkable in that it maintains a steady if slow growth, primarily due to the overabundance of agricultural products. The area was barely nicked during the great Depression, nor was it bothered much by previous recessions and inflation. Perhaps that's why I remained hopeful, perhaps not.

I do know one thing, the Law of Attraction works--whatever you focus on, whether good or bad, you'll get it.
It applies to all situations and if you reflect on your life, perhaps a hard time when suddenly every appliance broke down or there was a medical emergency when you had little money, you'll see how focusing on the bad increases the bad 10 fold. Similarly, focus on good and good piles on abundantly.

My strongest suggestion to anyone who might stumble on this sad little blog is this: when someone speaks to you in person or in email about the economy, focus on that 6% growth. Yes, it's tiny, but it represents what we need most in this country--hope. Hope never fails, like love, it must be nurtured.

Believe in it. Believe in your country. It won't fail you.

Your elderly white grandmother being afraid of black men who
pass her on the street is not the moral equivalent of your
pastor saying that black people should pray that God will
"damn America."

Your claim that you winced when your white grandmother
bought into racial stereotypes does not excuse you for
spending your entire adult life in the pews of a man who
claims that white people in the United States government
invented AIDS to "genocide" black people.

And the fact that your genealogy is racially diverse doesn't
change the fact that since you got out of college you have
chosen to worship at a church which preaches black
nationalism. Your family history is racially diverse, but
your life choices are not.

You were in the congregation, Barack, and that wasn't an
accident. It wasn't a few sporadic insane rants, it was a
fundamental philosophy. We've seen your church's website,
we've heard your pastor preach.

And we've heard how the congregation reacted.
Because while you now - when it is politically essential to
do so - disavow your closest spiritual advisor, it is clear
from the videotape of him at the pulpit that the rest of the
congregation heartily agreed with his most outlandish
statements. His worst rantings were not greeted by
embarrassed silence, they were met by rousing cheers.
How likely is it, Senator Obama, that you would have freely
spent 20 years of your life in a church whose pastor and
congregation were in fundamental disagreement with you?
It is not likely at all.

Your claim that you didn't hear your pastor's views on the
United States is not credible. While you were a member of
his church - a church you selected after a search of
several - there were 20 Fourth of Julys, 20 Flag Days, 20
Memorial Days and 20 Veterans Days. It is inconceivable that
your pastor's open contempt for the United States was not
discernible to you on any of those 80 days of American
patriotism.

If John McCain had been in the congregation, he would have
walked up and punched the man. If Hillary Clinton had been
in the congregation, she would have walked out. Barack Obama
was in the congregation and he stayed for 20 years.
To claim that this man is a part of your family, but that
you weren't aware of his most passionate political and
racial views, is not believable. Seriously, is it your
claim, Barack, that this man - your intimate friend and
close spiritual advisor - never mentioned his political
views to you as you became first an Illinois senator and
then a United States senator?

He advised his congregants to write and call their
representatives, but he didn't ever talk politics with the
politician in his congregation?

How is that believable?

And how is it that a white politician is damned for a single
visit to Jerry Falwell or Bob Jones but you are to go
unquestioned for some 1,000 visits to a church whose
leaders' racial views are far more strident?

And do you really expect anybody to believe that this black
racial "anger" that you speak of is a phenomenon of just the
older generation? Is it really your assertion, Barack, that
that anger - or, to be more accurate, racism - is found only
in African-Americans the age of your pastor? Do you think
that's a credible claim?

And do you think that these barbershop and dinner-table
conversations you say blacks have, the ones in which they
express racial anger against whites, do you really think
they are morally excusable or justified? Don't you think
instead of explaining and condoning such attitudes that you
should challenge and condemn them?

If racism among whites is worthy of condemnation, why isn't
it among blacks?

And if your grandmother's supposed racial stereotypes made
you wince, what do these barbershop and dinner-table racial
stereotypes make you do? If racism is damaging to the people
who have it in their hearts, why don't you save the folks
having these barbershop conversations from the moral damage
of their own prejudice and bigotry?

Why didn't you challenge the attitudes of the people you go
to church with? For 20 years you were up to your eyeteeth in
black separatism and black anger, and instead of challenging
those attitudes, you either silently assented to them or
went along with them. With that background, how do you
honestly think you could be entrusted to "bridge America's
racial divide?"

With all respect, senator, it seems like you've spent your
adult life as a partisan on one side of the racial divide.
Why should anybody on the other side, or anybody who doesn't
share your view that racial division is our most pressing
national concern, think you could be fair or objective?
Because it's clear you don't understand how white people
feel or act.

In your remarks yesterday, just before you tried to unite
whites and blacks in your Marxist hatred of corporations and
rich people, you claimed that white people, when they get
together, express "racial anger" against black people.
You got that wrong.

Not to be rude, but white people mostly don't give a damn.
White people mostly don't see the great divide your pastor
has based his ministry on. White people, when they are at
the barbershop or dining-room table, usually talk about
their families or sports or what they saw on TV or what
their plans are for the weekend. While black people might be
bubbling over with "racial anger" at white people, white
people usually have something more interesting to talk
about.

Sorry.

And I'm sorry that there is such a clear double standard in
American society and politics. Racism among blacks is fine
and racism among whites is condemned. No amount of racism
among whites is tolerable and any amount of racism among
blacks seems just fine. Called on it, the ridiculous
argument is made that blacks cannot be racist because they
don't control the institutions of power, or some such
nonsense. That is simply preposterous.

While Barack Obama calls for bridging the racial divide, his
own campaign benefits by it, and the double standard that
underpins it.

Barack Obama is, for example, the "black candidate" -- if
you are black. But if you are white, and you say that he is
the "black candidate," you are a racist. Just ask Geraldine
Ferraro. Black supporters clearly and constantly support him
on the basis of race, but if anyone who's not black points
that out, they're a racist.

How does that make any sense?

The great challenge Barack Obama had yesterday was to keep
the support of those who agree with his pastor while trying
to get the support of those who don't.

The simple fact is that the views of his pastor have a
significant following among American blacks. The pastor
didn't build a national following among blacks by preaching
about the Sermon on the Mount. What the pastor says
resonates with a great many black people.

And those black people have been Barack Obama's margin of
victory time and time again. When you're drawing 90 to 95
percent of the black vote in a Democratic primary, you know
who you owe your success to.

Barack Obama's career and political success are based on a
black-centered approach to life. That is his right. But to
now claim some race-straddling position, bridging the gap
between whites and blacks as a neutral mediator, is just not
believable.

And neither does it reflect the fact that though blacks are
America's longest-standing minority community, they are not
its largest. There are blacks and whites and Latinos and
Asians in this country, and Indians and Middle Easterners
and Pacific Islanders.

And somebody worthy of being president would hold them all
to the same standard and extend to them all the same respect
and support.

And he would call them all the same thing. Americans.
The problems with race in this country come from people
forgetting that they are first and foremost Americans, with
a bond of citizenship and brotherhood to all other
Americans.

A president should teach that this is the greatest country
on Earth and that its citizens are "created equal" and that
this nation is "indivisible."

And so should his pastor.

Al Qaeda in Iraq Under Saddam

Frontpage Interview’s guest today is Osama al-Magid, a former police officer in Iraq (1992- 2003). He can be contacted at osamaalmajid@yahoo.com.

FP: Osama al-Magid, welcome to Frontpage Interview.

Al-Magid: Thank you Mr. Glazov. I hope to provide information to the American public that will help them understand that terrorism in the U.S. from Al Qaeda did not end on September 11th, 2001. There are currently supporters of Al Qaeda not only outside of the U.S. but also inside of it.

This is my first interview pertaining to many of the issues I am going to discuss with you. Right now I can provide some details, but as time goes by I will be providing the Americans with more about the truth in Iraq. There have been friends of mine who have tried to inform the American people about things in Iraq before 2003 and after the Americans came to Iraq, but for some reasons the information has not been widely publicized. I will tell the American people that a person who is like a brother to me has risked his life to tell people about many important issues in Iraq. I met Special Agent Dave Gaubatz in 2003 (Nasiriyah). Dave and I started working together to obtain intelligence about threats against the U.S. forces. We traveled in Nasiriyah and other cities. We protected one another and today in 2008 we are still working together. I can’t explain everything right now for security reasons, but we are traveling through America and trying to identify terrorists and their supporters who want to attack America like in 2001. We are trying to help law enforcement so they can protect America.

Both of us have families and we do not want the children in America, Iraq, or any country to suffer from terrorism.

FP: Tell us about your experience as a police officer in Iraq. In what cities did you work? What happened after the American liberation?

Al-Magid: I attended the Iraq Police Academy in Baghdad for three years from 1992 - 1995. I was then assigned to Nasiriyah and Basra. Of course as a police officer I traveled and worked in many cities throughout Iraq. I attained the rank of Captain. I was trained in all areas of criminal investigations. I worked robbery and murder cases. Americans must understand that under Saddam Hussein the members of the Baath Party and other "privileged people" living in Iraq could commit major crimes like murder and rape and receive protection. As police officers we could only investigate people we were allowed by Saddam to investigate.

My family and I were very happy when we realized the Americans were coming to Iraq. Although many Iraqi people were happy the Americans were coming to remove Saddam Hussein, they were not allowed to show it. Some did and they were killed by the Fedeyeen for doing so. One example was a young girl on the roof of her house and she saw the American helicopters in Nasiriyah. She started waving to the Americans. Some of her Baath party neighbors saw her waving. They reported this to the officials. The Fedeyeen came and killed her mother and father in front of her. Being a police officer and knowing they had committed crimes did not mean I or any officer could arrest them. The Fedeyeen were under the protection of Saddam.

After the Americans came to Iraq, it did not become peaceful. There were many people still in all cities who supported Saddam Hussein. From March 2003 until the fall of 2003, many supporters of Saddam were simply regrouping and preparing for attacks against the Americans.

FP: How about Al Qaeda in Iraq?

Al-Magid: Al Qaeda and other people who believed the same as Al Qaeda had been in Iraq for many years. When I say “believed” I mean people who hated America and wanted to destroy the U.S.

Saddam had this in common with Al Qaeda and this is why he provided them protection. My family and I had suffered under Saddam as many Iraqis did. Even as a police officer I had been put in jail and tortured because some people knew I did not like how Saddam treated his own people. Many members of my family had also been tortured, but luckily we had enough money to pay the Baath Party in order to get them out of jail.

FP: So how did Dave Gaubatz come into the picture?

Al-Magid: Around 2003, as I have mentioned, I met Mr. Gaubatz. My family and I wanted to help the Americans and we went to a base to speak with someone who could work with us. Dave knew our family had already saved some American soldiers’ lives and we started working together. I can’t mention some things right now, but I can say we talked about Al Qaeda and the Iranians being in Iraq before 2003. Saddam used some of these groups to terrorize the Iraqi people so they would not go against him.

Dave, one other agent, and I traveled through different states to obtain some security information. We did not have security forces with us. In early 2003, the agents and I traveled by ourselves. It was very dangerous, but the information we obtained was very important.

Many people will want to know how I was able to come to the U.S. in late 2003. I can say that my family and I had provided the U.S. very important security information and we had saved many American soldiers lives. It was arranged through the U.S. Government for us to live in America. I believe it is very important for everyone in America to work together to protect America, because there are terrorists who want to destroy this country.

Both Dave Gaubatz and I know how dangerous Al Qaeda is. Dave is from America, I am from Iraq, he is a Christian, and I am a Muslim. We care for each other and our families care about each other. Al Qaeda does not care about any of us.

FP: Can you talk about Al Qaeda in Iraq before and after 2003?

Al-Magid: I have discussed some points about Al Qaeda being in Iraq for many years before 2003. This seems to only be a surprise to Americans, but everyone in Iraq knew Al Qaeda was being protected by Saddam in Iraq. The Al Qaeda people had their own mosques in Nasiriyah and only Al Qaeda could go to the mosques. One of their mosques was near the Saddam hospital that Private Jessica Lynch was being held as a prisoner.

Americans do not understand how much they helped the Iraqis when they removed Saddam.

Something that U.S. forces must understand in Iraq is that if they are speaking with someone they must be very careful. This person may be a good person, but maybe they know someone in their family who is Fedeyeen, senior Baath Party, or with Al Qaeda. One of my relatives was a senior Baath Party member, but I was not. My father was a good man and he did not want his children being unkind to anyone. He did not want us to support the Baath Party.

When my family and I helped the Americans in 2003, we knew it was very dangerous. Many Iraqis had been killed and still are for helping the Americans. Fedeyeen and Al Qaeda had tried to find us in Iraq. They had told our neighbors they would kill us. They burnt our home down. Dave Gaubatz was able to get us to safety and to the U.S. We knew they would not stop looking for us though. It was no secret to the Iraqi people that Al Qaeda and their supporters were living in America. The borders of America are open and there are people who come across the borders to enter the U.S. When I arrived in the U.S. in late 2003, it was not long before we began to be followed and then some Arabs came to our home once. U.S. Government security handled the situation for us.

FP: Your thoughts on Islamic extremism in America?

Al-Magid: I have met people since 2004 who are recruiting new Muslims arriving in America to join the ‘Wahhabi’ movement. These people want to start a Wahhabi nation in America. They have tried to recruit me. Dave Gaubatz and I have worked as police officers for many years and have studied Al Qaeda and other terrorists group. We have visited places in the U.S. from the East coast to the West coast that have people who are supporting Al Qaeda. The Saudi Arabian government is behind the training of Islamic scholars with the Wahhabi ideology. They are trained in Saudi Arabia and then sent to many countries to spread this dangerous ideology. Many of the Imams at mosques in the U.S. are trained in Saudi Arabia. We have met many who tell us the U.S. should be an Islamic nation and they have violent material describing how to do this.

Hopefully the American people, especially our politicians and law enforcement will understand this problem. Terrorists groups are very powerful, they have money, and they do not care if they die. They do not care who they kill. They are in America and if the American people do not want more attacks like Sept. 11th, 2001, they had better start being more concerned about Wahhabi scholars spreading violence in the U.S.

Dave and I can take law enforcement and politicians to many areas of the U.S and show them the people who are trained by Saudi to spread the ideology of hate against the Christians, Jewish, and even Muslims who want to live in peace in this world .

FP: As a Muslim yourself, what are your views of Al Qaeda and jihad in general?

Al-Magid: Al Qaeda and groups like them are cowards and criminals. Even by saying this I am putting myself at risk because people who support Al Qaeda are living in America, and they consider that what I am saying is to be an Apostate. The penalty under Shari’a Law for Apostasy is of course death, and there are no boundaries for Al Qaeda as we all saw on Sept. 11th, 2001. There are many brave Muslims living in America who do condemn Al Qaeda, but their voices are seldom heard.

My father raised my brothers and sisters to respect all people of all faiths, and he taught that human life is the most precious gift we have. My father was imprisoned and tortured by Saddam Hussein’s Fedeyeen and Baath Party forces because of these basic human beliefs. I am Muslim and very proud to be, but there are criminals like Osama Bin Laden who have hurt the Muslims who only want to have a family, have medical and educational systems for their children, and live in peace.

I want Americans to understand that Al Qaeda has and will continue to commit terrorist acts against Christians, Jewish people, and Muslims who do not believe in the same violent ideology and interpretation of Islam as they do. Many Muslims in Iraq and other countries fear Al Qaeda just as much as Christians and the Jewish people do. This is why Dave Gaubatz and I have dedicated our lives to finding them in America. Then we report this information to law enforcement.

Of course there is jihad within Islam, but Al Qaeda and criminals like them are not the people who would call the Muslims to fight. It would be by legitimate governments and only after peace has been sought. The Muslim people I was raised with do not want to fight anyone. They want their children to live peaceful lives and are afraid their children will someday be attacked by terrorists. Islam is peace. As we learned from the Quran: is someone kills one person (doesn't says just Muslim which means all human beings whether Christian or Jew) it is as if he killed all of humanity -- and he who helps to give life to one person helps all human beings.

FP: Well the problem is that the imperative to subjugate the world under the rule of Islamic law is deeply embedded within Islamic theology and tradition (i.e. Qur’an 9:29, Sahih Muslim 4294, and a host of other evidence from all the Sunni madhahib and Shi’ite sources, etc.)

All the schools of Islamic jurisprudence teach that it is part of the responsibility of the umma to subjugate the non-Muslim world through jihad.

But this is not the debate that we need to have here today my friend.

It is clear that there are many Muslims like you who reject violent jihad. In a future forum here at Frontpage, I would like you to join us to give your thoughts on how Muslims who reject jihad can best help de-jihadize the teachings on Jihad in Islam – and if this is at all possible or realistic.

Al-Magid: It is important for me to clarify that Sahih Muslim is used by the Sunni Muslims. The Shiite people do not follow the four primary madhahibs as the Sunni people do. They have only one madhahib. Much of the violent material advocating Shari'a Law and the subjugation of the world is based on ideologies of Wahhab, Syed Qutb, and Abul Maududi. This is not to say the Iranian Shiite Muslims may advocate this, but some families and other Shiite people I know do not support the Iranians or Sunni Muslims who advocate violence. Actually, Islam is freedom of the mind but thats doesn't mean all Muslim people believe in that. Good Muslims believe that Islam is a choice -- it is not a must for another religion.

FP: Well the Qur'an has quite a bit to say about the obligation to fight against unbelievers, but let's have this discussion in another forum.

Let’s move on.

In your view, how must the U.S. fight Islamo-Fascism at home and abroad? What do you think of those who argue that America should pull out of Iraq right away?

Al-Magid: First law enforcement and our military must be trained. You can’t do this by reading books and be trained by people who have just read books. You have to understand the ‘mindset’ of people within Al Qaeda. This can only be done by trying to learn some Arabic, visiting countries in the Middle East, going to mosques in the U.S., and knowing the people who Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups respect. Most law enforcement in the U.S. can’t tell you who Sayyid Abul A’la Mawdudi is (founder of Jamaat Islamia/JI). I respect the law enforcement in America, but unfortunately they are not prepared to protect our children from future attacks. Possibly if they are trained and allowed to really do their jobs, then maybe, just maybe, America will not be attacked again.

Many Americans do not understand that most Imams in the U.S. are trained in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia does not respect Americans and the Islamic scholars (and Universities) educate their young people to hate Christians, Jews, and Muslims who do not follow the Salafist (Wahhabi) beliefs. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan also distribute most of the violent material against America. This material can be found in Wahhabi mosques, but America allows this to happen even when it is brought to the attention of law enforcement.

If America leaves Iraq now, the Saudi will take over Iraq. They have been undermining the efforts of America since 2003 within Iraq. Nothing goes on in the Middle East without the Saudi government knowing about it. Yet America is soft on them.

Obama's Pastor: God Damn America, U.S. to Blame for 9/11

Obama's Pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Has a History of What Even Obama's Campaign Aides Say Is 'Inflammatory Rhetoric'

Sen. Barack Obama's pastor says blacks should not sing "God Bless America" but "God damn America."

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor for the last 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's south side, has a long history of what even Obama's campaign aides concede is "inflammatory rhetoric," including the assertion that the United States brought on the 9/11 attacks with its own "terrorism."

In a campaign appearance earlier this month, Sen. Obama said, "I don't think my church is actually particularly controversial." He said Rev. Wright "is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with," telling a Jewish group that everyone has someone like that in their family.

Rev. Wright married Obama and his wife Michelle, baptized their two daughters and is credited by Obama for the title of his book, "The Audacity of Hope."

An ABC News review of dozens of Rev. Wright's sermons, offered for sale by the church, found repeated denunciations of the U.S. based on what he described as his reading of the Gospels and the treatment of black Americans.

"The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people," he said in a 2003 sermon. "God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."

In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda's attacks because of its own terrorism.

"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.

"We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost," he told his congregation.

Sen. Obama told the New York Times he was not at the church on the day of Rev. Wright's 9/11 sermon. "The violence of 9/11 was inexcusable and without justification," Obama said in a recent interview. "It sounds like he was trying to be provocative," Obama told the paper.

Rev. Wright, who announced his retirement last month, has built a large and loyal following at his church with his mesmerizing sermons, mixing traditional spiritual content and his views on contemporary issues.

"I wouldn't call it radical. I call it being black in America," said one congregation member outside the church last Sunday.

"He has impacted the life of Barack Obama so much so that he wants to portray that feeling he got from Rev. Wright onto the country because we all need something positive," said another member of the congregation.

Rev. Wright, who declined to be interviewed by ABC News, is considered one of the country's 10 most influential black pastors, according to members of the Obama campaign.

Obama has praised at least one aspect of Rev. Wright's approach, referring to his "social gospel" and his focus on Africa, "and I agree with him on that."

Sen. Obama declined to comment on Rev. Wright's denunciations of the United States, but a campaign religious adviser, Shaun Casey, appearing on "Good Morning America" Thursday, said Obama "had repudiated" those comments.

In a statement to ABCNews.com, Obama's press spokesman Bill Burton said, "Sen. Obama has said repeatedly that personal attacks such as this have no place in this campaign or our politics, whether they're offered from a platform at a rally or the pulpit of a church. Sen. Obama does not think of the pastor of his church in political terms. Like a member of his family, there are things he says with which Sen. Obama deeply disagrees. But now that he is retired, that doesn't detract from Sen. Obama's affection for Rev. Wright or his appreciation for the good works he has done."

If They Don't Fool You They Can't Defeat You

Radical forces in the Middle East have rewritten the international rulebook in a way designed so "they can't lose." That is, there's no easy response to their behavior and strategies.

What's even more worrisome is the widespread failure in the West even to realize this is happening. Hamas and Hizballah fire from among civilians and use civilian homes for military purposes; Syria or Iran deploy disinformation, radical regimes pretend moderation, and there are plenty of suckers to take the bait.

Extremism makes many believe that kind words and concessions can transform them; intransigence produces a response that if they won't give up we must do so.

Here are some new rules in which "we" represents such disparate forces as Hamas, Hizballah, Iran, Iraqi insurgents, al-Qaida, Syria, the Taliban, and others including radical Arab nationalists. These forces are not all alike or allied but do often follow a parallel set of rules quite different from how international affairs have generally been conducted.

1.

We'll never give up. No matter what you do, we will continue fighting. No matter what you offer we will keep attacking you. Since you can't win you should give up.

2.

We're indifferent to pressure you put on us. We will turn this pressure against you. Against us, deterrence does not exist; diplomacy does not convince. Neither does the carrot buy us off, nor does the stick make us yield. There are no solutions that can end the conflict. You cannot win militarily nor make peace through diplomacy.

3.

If you set economic sanctions we'll say you are starving our people in an act of "collective punishment." Moreover, sanctions will cost you money and generate opposition among those who lose profits.

4.

In response to military operations we'll attack your civilians. Casualties will undermine your internal support. We will try to force you to kill civilians accidentally. We won't care but will use this to persuade many that you are evil. Thus, we will simultaneously murder your civilians and get you condemned as human rights' violators.

5.

If you try to isolate us we will use your own media and intellectuals against you. At times, we'll hint at moderation and make promises of change. We won't do so enough to alienate our own followers but enough to subvert yours. They will demand you engage us, which means you making concessions for nothing real in exchange.

6.

Talking to our own people, we foment hatred and demonize you. Speaking to the West, we will accuse you of fomenting hatred. We will hypocritically turn against you all the concepts you developed: racism, imperialism, failure to understand the "other," and so on. These, of course, are our ideas but your feelings of guilt, ignorance about us, and indifference to ideology will make you not notice that fact.

7.

We will claim to be victims and "underdogs." Because you are the stronger and more "advanced" that means you are the villains. We're not held responsible for our deeds or expected to live up to the same standards. There is no shortage of, to quote Lenin, "useful idiots" who will echo our propaganda.

8.

Since our societies are weak, undemocratic, and have few real moderates, you will have to make deals with phoney moderates and dictatorial regimes weakened by corruption and incompetence.

9.

Even the less radical regimes, often our immediate adversaries, partly play into our hands. Due to popular pressure–plus their desire to mobilize support and distract attention from their own shortcomings–they trumpet Arab and Islamic solidarity. They denounce the West, blame all problems on Israel, and revile America, even as they accept your aid. They glorify interpretations of Islam not too far from ours. They cheer Iraqi insurgents, Hizballah, and Hamas. They don't struggle against Iran getting nuclear weapons. They lay the basis for our mass support and recruits, as Lenin said selling us the rope to hang them as well as you.

10.

There's no diplomatic solution for you, though you yearn to find one. There's no military solution for you, whether you try that or not. You love life, we love death; you are divided, we are united; you want to get back to material satisfaction, we are dedicated revolutionaries. We will outlast you.

11.

Finally, our greatest weapon is that you truly don't understand all the points made above. You are taught, informed, and often led by people who simply don't comprehend what an alternative, highly ideological, revolutionary worldview means. In effect, we will try, and often succeed, to turn your "best and brightest" into the worst and dimmest who think you can persuade us, blame you for the conflicts, or expect that we will alter our course, and we will use those mistakes against you. [Emphasis added].

The above analysis seems pessimistic but actually is the opposite. Most of this strategy's power is based on spreading illusions, depending on gullibility. [Emphasis added]. Much of the rest relies on their enemies' psychological weaknesses.

In a sustained conflict, the radicals' technological and organizational weaknesses, along with their mistaken assessments and unrealistic ideology, will bring inevitable defeat. They will lose even if they never surrender.

They can kill people but not overcome societies determined to grow, prosper, and survive. The keys to a successful response are steadfastness and understanding. To paraphrase Francis Bacon and Franklin Roosevelt, there is nothing to fear but fear–and gullibility–itself.

Obama's women reveal his secret

"Cherchez la femme," advised Alexander Dumas in: "When you want to uncover an unspecified secret, look for the woman." In the case of Barack Obama, we have two: his late mother, the went-native anthropologist Ann Dunham, and his rancorous wife Michelle. Obama's women reveal his secret: he hates America.

We know less about Senator Obama than about any prospective president in American history. His uplifting rhetoric is empty, as Hillary Clinton helplessly protests. His career bears no trace of his own character, not an article for the Harvard Law Review he

edited, or a single piece of legislation. He appears to be an empty vessel filled with the wishful thinking of those around him. But there is a real Barack Obama. No man - least of all one abandoned in infancy by his father - can conceal the imprint of an impassioned mother, or the influence of a brilliant wife.

America is not the embodiment of hope, but the abandonment of one kind of hope in return for another. America is the spirit of creative destruction, selecting immigrants willing to turn their back on the tragedy of their own failing culture in return for a new start. Its creative success is so enormous that its global influence hastens the decline of other cultures. For those on the destruction side of the trade, America is a monster. Between half and nine-tenths of the world's 6,700 spoken languages will become extinct in the next century, and the anguish of dying peoples rises up in a global cry of despair. Some of those who listen to this cry become anthropologists, the curators of soon-to-be extinct cultures; anthropologists who really identify with their subjects marry them. Obama's mother, the University of Hawaii anthropologist Ann Dunham, did so twice.

Obama profiles Americans the way anthropologists interact with primitive peoples. He holds his own view in reserve and emphatically draws out the feelings of others; that is how friends and colleagues describe his modus operandi since his days at the Harvard Law Review, through his years as a community activist in Chicago, and in national politics. Anthropologists, though, proceed from resentment against the devouring culture of America and sympathy with the endangered cultures of the primitive world. Obama inverts the anthropological model: he applies the tools of cultural manipulation out of resentment against America. The probable next president of the United States is a mother's revenge against the America she despised.

Ann Dunham died in 1995, and her character emerges piecemeal from the historical record, to which I will return below. But Michelle Obama is a living witness. Her February 18 comment that she felt proud of her country for the first time caused a minor scandal, and was hastily qualified. But she meant it, and more. The video footage of her remarks shows eyes hooded with rage as she declares:

For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment.

The desperation, frustration and disappointment visible on Michelle Obama's face are not new to the candidate's wife; as Steve Sailer, Rod Dreher and other commentators have noted, they were the theme of her undergraduate thesis, on the subject of "blackness" at Princeton University. No matter what the good intentions of Princeton, which founded her fortunes as a well-paid corporate lawyer, she wrote, "My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my 'Blackness' than ever before. I have found that at Princeton no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my White professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don't belong."

Never underestimate the influence of a wife who bitch-slaps her husband in public. Early in Obama's campaign, Michelle Obama could not restrain herself from belittling the senator. "I have some difficulty reconciling the two images I have of Barack Obama. There's Barack Obama the phenomenon. He's an amazing orator, Harvard Law Review, or whatever it was, law professor, best-selling author, Grammy winner. Pretty amazing, right? And then there's the Barack Obama that lives with me in my house, and that guy's a little less impressive," she told a fundraiser in February 2007.

"For some reason this guy still can't manage to put the butter up when he makes toast, secure the bread so that it doesn't get stale, and his five-year-old is still better at making the bed than he is." New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd reported at the time, "She added that the TV version of Barack Obama sounded really interesting and that she'd like to meet him sometime." Her handlers have convinced her to be more tactful since then.

"Frustration" and "disappointment" have dogged Michelle Obama these past 20 years, despite her US$300,000 a year salary and corporate board memberships. It is hard for the descendants of slaves not to resent America. They were not voluntary immigrants but kidnap victims, subjected to a century of second-class citizenship even after the Civil War ended slavery. Blackness is not the issue; General Colin Powell, whose parents chose to immigrate to America from the West Indies, saw America just as other immigrants do, as a land of opportunity. Obama's choice of wife is a failsafe indicator of his own sentiments. Spouses do not necessarily share their likes, but they must have their hatreds in common. Obama imbibed this hatred with his mother's milk.

Michelle Obama speaks with greater warmth of her mother-in-law than of her husband. "She was kind of a dreamer, his mother," Michelle Obama was quoted in the January 25 Boston Globe. "She wanted the world to be open to her and her children. And as a result of her naivete, sometimes they lived on food stamps, because sometimes dreams don't pay the rent. But as a result of her naivete, Barack got to see the world like most of us don't in this country." How strong the ideological motivation must be of a mother to raise her children on the thin fair in pursuit of a political agenda.

"Naivete" is a euphemism for Ann Dunham's motivation. Friends describe her as a "fellow traveler", that is, a communist sympathizer, from her youth, according to a March 27, 2007, Chicago Tribune report. Many Americans harbor leftist views, but not many marry into them, twice. Ann Dunham met and married the Kenyan economics student Barack Obama, Sr, at the University of Hawaii in 1960, and in 1967 married the Indonesian student Lolo Soetero. It is unclear why Soetero's student visa was revoked in 1967 - the fact but not the cause are noted in press accounts. But it is probable that the change in government in Indonesia in 1967, in which the leftist leader Sukarno was deposed, was the motivation.

Soetero had been sponsored as a graduate student by one of the most radical of all Third World governments. Sukarno had founded the so-called Non-Aligned Movement as an anti-colonialist turn at the 1955 Bandung Conference in Indonesia. Before deposing him in 1967, Indonesia's military slaughtered 500,000 communists (or unfortunates who were mistaken for communists). When Ann Dunham chose to follow Lolo Soetero to Indonesia in 1967, she brought the six-year-old Barack into the kitchen of anti-colonialist outrage, immediate following one of the worst episodes of civil violence in post-war history.

Dunham's experience in Indonesia provided the material for a doctoral dissertation celebrating the hardiness of local cultures against the encroaching metropolis. It was entitled, "Peasant blacksmithing in Indonesia: surviving against all odds". In this respect Dunham remained within the mainstream of her discipline. Anthropology broke into popular awareness with Margaret Mead's long-discredited Coming of Age in Samoa (1928), which offered a falsified ideal of sexual liberation in the South Pacific as an alternative to the supposedly repressive West. Mead's work was one of the founding documents of the sexual revolution of the 1960s, and anthropology faculties stood at the left-wing fringe of American universities.

In the Global South, anthropologists went into the field and took matters a step further. Peru's brutal Sendero Luminoso (Shining Path) guerilla movement was the brainchild of the anthropologist

Efrain Morote Best, who headed the University of San Cristobal of Huamanga in Ayacucho, Peru, between 1962 and 1968. Dunham's radicalism was more vicarious; she ended her career as an employee of international organizations.

Barack Obama received at least some instruction in the Islamic faith of his father and went with him to the mosque, but the importance of this experience is vastly overstated by conservative commentators who seek to portray Obama as a Muslim of sorts. Radical anti-Americanism, rather than Islam, was the reigning faith in the Dunham household. In the Muslim world of the 1960s, nationalism rather than radical Islam was the ideology of choice among the enraged. Radical Islam did not emerge as a major

political force until the nationalism of a Gamal Abdel Nasser or a Sukarno failed.

Barack Obama is a clever fellow who imbibed hatred of America with his mother's milk, but worked his way up the elite ladder of education and career. He shares the resentment of Muslims against the encroachment of American culture, although not their religion. He has the empathetic skill set of an anthropologist who lives with his subjects, learns their language, and elicits their hopes and fears while remaining at emotional distance. That is, he is the political equivalent of a sociopath. The difference is that he is practicing not on a primitive tribe but on the population of the United States.

There is nothing mysterious about Obama's methods. "A demagogue tries to sound as stupid as his audience so that they will think they are as clever as he is," wrote Karl Krauss. Americans are the world's biggest suckers, and laugh at this weakness in their popular culture. Listening to Obama speak, Sinclair Lewis' cynical tent-revivalist Elmer Gantry comes to mind, or, even better, Tyrone Power's portrayal of a carnival mentalist in the 1947 film noire Nightmare Alley. The latter is available for instant viewing at Netflix, and highly recommended as an antidote to having felt uplifted by an Obama speech.

America has the great misfortune to have encountered Obama at the peak of his powers at its worst moment of vulnerability in a generation. With malice aforethought, he has sought out their sore point.

Since the Ronald Reagan boom began in 1984, the year the American stock market doubled, Americans have enjoyed a quarter-century of rising wealth. Even the collapse of the Internet bubble in 2000 did not interrupt the upward trajectory of household assets, as the housing price boom eclipsed the effect of equity market weakness. America's success made it a magnet for the world's savings, and Americans came to believe that they were riding a boom that would last forever, as I wrote recently [1].

Americans regard upward mobility as a God-given right. America had a double founding, as David Hackett Fischer showed in his 1989 study, Albion's Seed . Two kinds of immigrants founded America: religious dissidents seeking a new Promised Land, and economic opportunists looking to get rich quick. Both elements still are present, but the course of the past quarter-century has made wealth-creation the sine qua non of American life. Now for the first time in a generation Americans have become poorer, and many of them have become much poorer due to the collapse of home prices. Unlike the Reagan years, when cutting the top tax rate from a punitive 70% to a more tolerable 40% was sufficient to start an economic boom, no lever of economic policy is available to fix the problem. Americans have no choice but to work harder, retire later, save more and retrench.

This reversal has provoked a national mood of existential crisis. In Europe, economic downturns do not inspire this kind of soul-searching, for richer are poorer, remain what they always have been. But Americans are what they make of themselves, and the slim makings of 2008 shake their sense of identity. Americans have no institutionalized culture to fall back on. Their national religion has consisted of waves of enthusiasm - "Great Awakenings" – every second generation or so, followed by an interim of apathy. In times of stress they have a baleful susceptibility to hucksters and conmen.

Be afraid - be very afraid. America is at a low point in its fortunes, and feeling sorry for itself. When Barack utters the word "hope", they instead hear, "handout". A cynic might translate the national motto, E pluribus unum, as "something for nothing". Now that the stock market and the housing market have failed to give Americans something for nothing, they want something for nothing from the government. The trouble is that he who gets something for nothing will earn every penny of it, twice over.

The George W Bush administration has squandered a great strategic advantage in a sorry lampoon of nation-building in the Muslim world, and has made enemies out of countries that might have been friendly rivals, notably Russia. Americans question the premise of America's standing as a global superpower, and of the promise of upward mobility and wealth-creation. If elected, Barack Obama will do his utmost to destroy the dual premises of America's standing. It might take the country another generation to recover.

"Evil will oft evil mars", J R R Tolkien wrote. It is conceivable that Barack Obama, if elected, will destroy himself before he destroys the country. Hatred is a toxic diet even for someone with as strong a stomach as Obama. As he recalled in his 1995 autobiography, Dreams From My Father, Obama idealized the Kenyan economist who had married and dumped his mother, and was saddened to learn that Barack Hussein Obama, Sr, was a sullen, drunken polygamist. The elder Obama became a senior official of the government of Kenya after earning a PhD at Harvard. He was an abusive drunk and philanderer whose temper soured his career.

The senior Obama died in a 1982 car crash. Kenyan government officials in those days normally spent their nights drinking themselves stupid at the Pan-Afrique Hotel. Two or three of them would be found with their Mercedes wrapped around a palm tree every morning. During the 1970s I came to know a number of them, mostly British-educated hollow men dying inside of their own hypocrisy and corruption.

Both Obama and the American public should be very careful of what they wish for. As the horrible example of Obama's father shows, there is nothing worse for an embittered outsider manipulating the system from within than to achieve his goals - and nothing can be more terrible for the system. Even those who despise America for its blunders of the past few years should ask themselves whether the world will be a safer place if America retreats into a self-pitying shell.

CAIR STATES SUPPORT FOR HAMAS

STATEMENTS MADE DAYS BEFORE HAMAS TERROR ATTACK
ON ISRAELI TEENS

(Coral Springs, FL) On Saturday, March 1, 2008, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) expressed its support for Hamas and denied that Hamas was a terrorist organization. The statements were made, during an Americans Against Hate (AAH) rally against CAIR’s usage of the Broward County Convention Center, a government-owned facility.

Whilst speaking into a microphone bearing CAIR’s name and logo, CAIR-Florida representative Jawhar “Joe” Badran stated clearly on video, “Hamas is not a terrorist organization.” At the time, Badran was standing next to the Executive Director of CAIR-Florida Altaf Ali.

Other statements made by Badran at the rally, include: “Hamas is a defender of the Palestinian people. That’s what Hamas is.” And “Hamas is better than Fatah, because there’s no corruption. Hamas takes care of the people.”

The statements were made less than a week prior to the terror attack on a Jerusalem school perpetrated by Hamas. The attack left eight Israeli students dead.

AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman stated, “It is unconscionable for CAIR to state its support for a group that targets youth with terrorist attacks. Given CAIR’s ties to Hamas, we call on our government to, once and for all, shut the organization down.”

Radical Islam is Growing in the USA

Harlingen, Texas, February 29, 2008: It is very difficult to understand why Americans are not enraged at the thought of any radical Islamic movement, particularly in the United States. But, being unconcerned seems to be an understatement, for Islam is rapidly expanding in this country, and there is already evidence that from evening prayer to the teachings of Islamic schools the tone is anti American and anti Christian.

We have already seen the growth of the Muslim faith in Europe. Even in England there are already calls for the country to adopt the edicts of Islamic Law.

Most have not taken the time to even learn what Islamic or Sharia Law would mean, if it became embedded in our society.

For men, radical Islam means a ban on listening to music, watching movies, television or videos. There would be a ban on celebrating any non-Muslim holiday. All people with non-Islamic names would be required to adopt an Islamic name. All men and boys would be required to have traditional haircuts and when able, they must grow beards. Prayers at mosques must be attended five times daily. They are banned from having birds. No kite flying is allowed. Anyone found with objectionable literature can be executed. No hand clapping is allowed at sporting events. The use of the Internet is banned accept by government permission. Non-Muslims must where distinctive identifying badges.

For women, all of the above apply, except for beards. In addition women are banned from working outside the home, except for selected female doctors. Women cannot leave the home unless accompanied by a male relative or husband. They cannot drive a car, deal with shopkeepers. Male doctors cannot treat them. Women must where undecorated clothing that covers them from head to foot.

A woman can be whipped if her ankles show in public. She is banned from shaking hands, laughing loudly, wearing high heeled shoes, playing sports, speaking on radio or TV, riding a bicycle or motorcycle, must not wear perfume. The woman’s clothing cannot resemble a man’s clothes. Their shoes cannot make a sound when they walk. They cannot talk to men other than family and when they do talk it must be in a very low voice. They must not look at strangers.

For a woman, the breaking of any of these bans can result in punishment. For example, in Saudi Arabia a woman found to have nail polish on her fingers, had the fingertips cut off. More severe infractions can result in a death sentence.

Granted, we are addressing the rules of radical Islam. But from where did it originate and why haven’t the so-called moderate or peaceful Muslims done something to stop these extremes? But, why be concerned. This could never happen in America. Right!!!

For those who think there should be no concern about the rapid expansion of the Islamic faith in the United States, consider the following:

In 1960 we had 20 mosques in the United States. By 1994 that number had grown to 962 and in 2000 there were 1,209. Today an estimated 2,300 mosques, plus storefronts, meeting rooms and student centers are spread across the country. These mosques and centers are used as a form of political and social mobilization, under the cloak of religion.

More than 90% of Muslim leaders say they should be involved in the political process, and it should be noted they are increasingly assuming positions within the public arena.

For some strange reason, when viewing the growth of Islam in the United States, Americans are about as complacent as they are relative to most political activities.

Though reported on back in 2002 by World Net Daily that “Every time you fill up your tank you may be helping to finance an Islamic mosque in America” and that “Some of the largest mosques and Islamic Centers in America are funded by the royal government of Saudi Arabia, which gets most of its revenue from oil exports”, we have still continued to ignore the fact that we are facing a serious problem.

Our government keeps telling us that Saudi Arabia is our friend. This flies in the face of undisputed facts including 15 of the 19 highjackers who crashed aircraft into New York and Washington D.C. were Saudi citizens. It also ignores the fact that the Saudi government continues to finance the advancement of “Wahhabism”, one of the most violent strains of Islam and that most Saudi citizens adhere to this anti American sect.

In the past 33 years the Saudi government has poured more than $87 billion into expanding the Muslim faith in America. There are an estimated 6 million Muslims in the United States today and many of them were converts from Christianity or had no prior religious preference. It is estimated that up to 90% of the converts are African-American.

While 64% of Saudis have an unfavorable view of the United States, 57% of the black Muslims in America look upon this country as an immoral society. A full 70% of our “American” black Muslims believe the United States brought about the attacks of 9-11.

This is not random speculation. Homeland Security has conducted an undercover survey of mosques and Islamic schools across the United States. It has found that 3 out of 4 mosques preach anti west extremism, widespread radicalism and all things anti American.

Undercover counterterrorism agents who speak Arabic and understand the culture have now conducted reconnaissance at some 2,300 mosques and centers in every state of the union. Though the study has not yet been made public, again, according to World Net Daily, “the vast majority are inciting insurrection and jihad through sermons by Saudi-trained imams and anti western literature, videos and textbooks.”

However, when members of the media, or political candidates bring up the subject of this growing threat, they are branded as practicing racial profiling, anti Muslim or unpatriotic. Government officials keep telling everyone that the Muslim world is friendly, in spite of all the evidence to the contrary. The majority in congress tell force the nation into Arab oil servitude, by refusing to allow serious drilling in our own country and spending more time trying to make the enemy out of “Big Oil”, instead of mid eastern threats.

All of this will continue to unfold, from the American advancement of Islam to the flow of more mid east money to advance terrorism…and all because Americans spend their time being angry at our own politicians and have little or no concern about an ever increasing threat being imported from abroad.

JERUSALEM – The board of a nonprofit organization on which Sen. Barack Obama served as a paid director alongside a confessed domestic terrorist granted funding to a controversial Arab group that mourns the establishment of Israel as a "catastrophe" and supports intense immigration reform, including providing drivers licenses and education to illegal aliens.

The co-founder of the Arab group in question, Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi, also has held a fundraiser for Obama. Khalidi is a harsh critic of Israel, has made statements supportive of Palestinian terror and reportedly has worked on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was involved in anti-Western terrorism and was labeled by the State Department as a terror group.

In 2001, the Woods Fund, a Chicago-based nonprofit that describes itself as a group helping the disadvantaged, provided a $40,000 grant to the Arab American Action Network, or AAAN, for which Khalidi's wife, Mona, serves as president. The Fund provided a second grant to the AAAN for $35,000 in 2002.

Obama was a director of the Woods Fund board from 1999 to Dec. 11, 2002, according to the Fund's website. According to tax filings, Obama received compensation of $6,000 per year for his service in 1999 and 2001.

Obama served on the Wood's Fund board alongside William C. Ayers, a member of the Weathermen terrorist group which sought to overthrow of the U.S. government and took responsibility for bombing the U.S. Capitol in 1971.

Ayers, who still serves on the Woods Fund board, contributed $200 to Obama's senatorial campaign fund and has served on panels with Obama at numerous public speaking engagements. Ayers admitted to involvement in the bombings of U.S. governmental buildings in the 1970s. He is a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

The $40,000 grant from Obama's Woods Fund to the AAAN constituted about a fifth of the Arab group's reported grants for 2001, according to tax filings obtained by WND. The $35,000 Woods Fund grant in 2002 also constituted about one-fifth of AAAN's reported grants for that year.

The AAAN, headquartered in the heart of Chicago's Palestinian immigrant community, describes itself as working to "empower Chicago-area Arab immigrants and Arab Americans through the combined strategies of community organizing, advocacy, education and social services, leadership development, and forging productive relationships with other communities."

It reportedly has worked on projects with the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, which supports open boarders and education for illegal aliens.

The AAAN in 2005 sent a letter to New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson in which it called a billboard opposing a North Carolina-New Mexico joint initiative to deny driver's licenses to illegal aliens a "bigoted attack on Arabs and Muslims."

Speakers at AAAN dinners and events routinely have taken an anti-Israel line.

The group co-sponsored a Palestinian art exhibit, titled, "The Subject of Palestine," that featured works related to what some Palestinians call the "Nakba" or "catastrophe" of Israel's founding in 1948.

According to the widely discredited Nakba narrative, Jews in 1948 forcibly expelled hundreds of thousands - some Palestinians claim over one million - Arabs from their homes and then took over the territory.

Historically, about 600,000 Arabs fled Israel after surrounding Arab countries warned they would destroy the Jewish state in 1948. Some Arabs also were driven out by Jewish forces while they were trying to push back invading Arab armies. At the same time, over 800,000 Jews were expelled or left Arab countries under threat after Israel was founded.

The theme of AAAN's Nakba art exhibit, held at DePaul University in 2005, was "the compelling and continuing tragedy of Palestinian life ... under [Israeli] occupation ... home demolition ... statelessness ... bereavement ... martyrdom, and ... the heroic struggle for life, for safety, and for freedom."

Another AAAN initiative, titled, "Al Nakba 1948 as experienced by Chicago Palestinians," seeks documents related to the "catastrophe" of Israel's founding.

A post on the AAAN site asked users: "Do you have photos, letters or other memories you could share about Al-Nakba-1948?"

That posting was recently removed. The AAAN website currently states the entire site is under construction.

Pro-PLO advocate held Obama fundraiser, describes Obama as 'sympathetic'

AAAN co-founder Rashid Khalidi was reportedly a director of the official PLO press agency WAFA in Beirut from 1976 to 1982, while the PLO committed scores of anti-Western attacks and was labeled by the U.S. as a terror group. Khalidi's wife, AAAN President Mona Khalidi, was reportedly WAFA's English translator during that period.

Rashid Khalidi at times has denied working directly for the PLO but Palestinian diplomatic sources in Ramallah told WND he indeed directed WAFA. Khalidi also advised the Palestinian delegation to the Madrid Conference in 1991.

During documented speeches and public events, Khalidi has called Israel an "apartheid system in creation" and a destructive "racist" state.

He has multiple times expressed support for Palestinian terror, calling suicide bombings response to "Israeli aggression." He dedicated his 1986 book, "Under Siege," to "those who gave their lives ... in defense of the cause of Palestine and independence of Lebanon." Critics assailed the book as excusing Palestinian terrorism.

While the Woods Fund's contribution to Khalidi's AAAN might be perceived as a one-time run in with Obama, the presidential hopeful and Khalidi evidence a deeper relationship.

According to a professor at the University of Chicago who said he has known Obama for 12 years, the Democratic presidential hopeful first befriended Khalidi when the two worked together at the university. The professor spoke on condition of anonymity. Khalidi lectured at the University of Chicago until 2003 while Obama taught law there from 1993 until his election to the Senate in 2004.

Khalidi in 2000 held what was described as a successful fundraiser for Obama's failed bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, a fact not denied by Khalidi.

Speaking in a joint interview with WND and the John Batchelor Show of New York's WABC Radio and Los Angeles' KFI Radio, Khalidi was asked about his 2000 fundraiser for Obama.

"I was just doing my duties as a Chicago resident to help my local politician," Khalidi stated.

Khalidi said he supports Obama for president "because he is the only candidate who has expressed sympathy for the Palestinian cause."

Khalidi also lauded Obama for "saying he supports talks with Iran. If the U.S. can talk with the Soviet Union during the Cold War, there is no reason it can't talk with the Iranians."

Asked about Obama's role funding the AAAN, Khalidi claimed he had "never heard of the Woods Fund until it popped up on a bunch of blogs a few months ago."

He terminated the call when petitioned further about his links with Obama.

Contacted by phone, Mona Khalidi refused to answer WND's questions about the AAAN's involvement with Obama.

Obama's campaign headquarters did not reply to a list of WND questions sent by e-mail to the senator's press office.

Obama, American terrorist in same circles

Obama served on the board with Ayers, who was a Weathermen leader and has written about his involvement with the group's bombings of the New York City Police headquarters in 1970, the Capitol in 1971 and the Pentagon in 1972.

"I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough," Ayers told the New York Times in an interview released on Sept. 11, 2001

"Everything was absolutely ideal on the day I bombed the Pentagon," Ayers wrote in his memoirs, titled "Fugitive Days." He continued with a disclaimer that he didn't personally set the bombs, but his group set the explosives and planned the attack.

A $200 campaign contribution is listed on April 2, 2001 by the "Friends of Barack Obama" campaign fund. The two taught appeared speaking together at several public events, including a 1997 University of Chicago panel entitled, "Should a child ever be called a 'super predator?'" and another panel for the University of Illinois in April 2002, entitled, "Intellectuals: Who Needs Them?"

The charges against Ayers were dropped in 1974 because of prosecutorial misconduct, including illegal surveillance.

Ayers is married to another notorious Weathermen terrorist, Bernadine Dohrn, who has also served on panels with Obama. Dohrn was once on the FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted List and was described by J. Edgar Hoover as the "most dangerous woman in America." Ayers and Dohrn raised the son of Weathermen terrorist Kathy Boudin, who was serving a sentence for participating in a 1981 murder and robbery that left 4 people dead.

The revelations about Obama's relationship with Khalidi follows a recent WND article quoting Israeli security officials who expressed "concern" about Robert Malley, an adviser to Obama who has advocated negotiations with Hamas and providing international assistance to the terrorist group.

Malley, a principal Obama foreign policy adviser, has penned numerous opinion articles, many of them co-written with a former adviser to the late Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat, petitioning for dialogue with Hamas and blasting Israel for numerous policies he says harm the Palestinian cause.

Malley also previously penned a well-circulated New York Review of Books piece largely blaming Israel for the collapse of the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations at Camp David in 2000 when Arafat turned down a Palestinian state in the West Bank, Gaza and eastern sections of Jerusalem and instead returned to the Middle East to launch an intifada, or terrorist campaign, against the Jewish state.

Malley's contentions have been strongly refuted by key participants at Camp David, including President Bill Clinton, then-Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and primary U.S. envoy to the Middle East Dennis Ross, all of whom squarely blamed Arafat's refusal to make peace for the talks' failure.

Help! We Are Falling and We Can’t Get Up!

22 February 2008: Barack Obama was born August 4, 1961 as Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. Born to a Kenyan father and an American mother, he spent some of his childhood in Honolulu, Hawaii. From the age of six to age ten, he lived in Jakarta with his mother and Indonesian stepfather. Jakarta, Indonesia, one of Islam’s jihadist training grounds.

He admittedly studied Islam early in life, attended a Wahabbi madrassa and then claims he converted from Islam to - well we aren’t really sure what he has converted to. In fact, we aren’t sure that he converted at all. People seem to forget one major fact about Islam: these people have been planning the demise of the United States for decades. They have more patience than anyone on this earth. So who is to say that when the Islamic radicals overthrew Iran in the late 70’s they didn’t have their own "Manchurian Candidate" in mind for the position as President of the most powerful non-Muslim nation in the world?

From a chronological standpoint, the timing of Islam’s bold move in Iran in 1979 and the fact that Barack Obama wrapping up his teenage formative years around the same time places him on my radar screen of suspicion. I haven’t heard him denounce Islam as of yet but I have heard him promote it. I've heard him slam just about everything this country has done in an effort to keep Islam and its perpetuators of the Islamic farce at bay. In fact after he whipped Hillary in one of the primaries he gave a speech in which if you closed your eyes and listened to only the words, you could have had Osama Bin Laden delivering the words to you.

What exactly do we know about this presidential candidate? I’m not talking about the surface, the obvious fake façade of Barack Hussein Obama. I’m talking about the true Obama, the ever evasive answerer, the Wahabbi trained and indoctrinated Muslim who suddenly, as we are experiencing our most difficult times with our Islamic enemy suddenly pops out of the cheap seats and makes a bid for the White House. The overall timing is bizarre to say the least. The bottom line is that this man should not be trusted with the security of the most powerful deterrent of Islam, the United States of America.

We know what a useless, lying piece of human feces that Ted Kennedy is, so why would anyone even consider anyone that he endorses? Possibly there are some back room manipulative plans in the works as surely even the Democrats know that Obama faces a higher than average chance of an assassination attempt if elected. I don’t wish that on anyone but let’s face the fact that Colin Powell even realized the risks and backed away from a presidential bid. Considering this theory, one would have to be curious who Obama’s running mate will be as there is a good chance that the vice president under Obama would eventually be the president. So let’s see who ends up in that seat as his running mate as that person could possibly be the President within the first year of the new regime. C’mon, Ted Kennedy is the same as the kiss of death. I’d put some distance between me and him if I were a candidate.

The Democrats are fairly certain that no Republicans will make it to the White House as most people, even the ones that voted for Bush are unhappy with the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, the economy and the stock market. Since Hillary Clinton smells too much like her screwball husband Bill Clinton, she won’t make the cut. The ones to watch for running mate will be John Edwards or that idiot John Kerry. Kind of funny because the only way either of those two clowns could get into the Presidential driver's seat is if someone died and vacated it. The Democrats are banking on the politically correct, demented thinking and lost logic of the American left to put Obama in the white house. Then and only then will their plan work. Watch how this plays out America as I’m not to far off with this theory. It’s like watching a poorly choreographed musical which unfortunately does well because of the supporters of the actors, not the actors themselves.

The politically correct thing to do is put a black, foreign born Muslim into office only because it is so far opposite of who is running the country now. America won’t vote him in because they think he is the man for the job, they will vote him in because he is against the war, he isn’t the same color as George Bush and he talks a good show. No one is very happy with the Bush-Chaney management (or mismanagement) job and a good majority of weak shortsighted Americans want something different. I’m a Republican but even I have questioned some of the things I’ve seen playing out. Bottom line is that I vote my conscience and I will always support the best person to protect this nation, even if I disagree with some policies.

Islam isn’t going away anytime soon and their plan is the demise of this country. They already have managed to infect Congress with one of their Islamic piglets named Keith Ellison who, for the record, has done nothing positive while in office yet has managed to promote Islam. When you look closely at his congressional district, he has created much conflict between Islam and America. Look closely folks, Muslim airport taxi driver issues with western passengers, the flying imams escapade, the repeated appearances of issues related to the Muslim Brotherhood, etc.

That are just a few incidents in a city from where a Muslim weaseled his way into a Congressional seat. Sit back and imagine the implications of a Muslim in the White House, in charge of a nation, and not limited to one congressional district. That is, of course, if he survives.

Incidentally, if anything did happen to Obama in office, you can be sure that the supposed "assassin" will be killed and magically traced back to some white supremacy group, making the story much more "marketable" to the American public. Since the media is the Democratic mouthpiece for all things, be assured there will be tons of evidence blasted across the media airwaves to seal the deal. It worked with a prior presidential assassination and it will work again if the power designers need it to. It’s what I call the Caesar Principle. It will be a repeat of history much like the Kennedy assassination in which Americas foreign policy changed with his death. It’s been going on for centuries all around the world, as long as there was power to gain and men willing to kill to gain that power.

This will be an interesting presidential election and the follow-up scenes and after effects will be even more interesting if Barack Obama makes it to the Oval Office especially if he survives. Then we will have fallen and we will not be able to get back up. Islam doesn’t have to attack us since we are going to walk them in the front door of the head office.

By the way, if you are wondering why we haven’t been attacked by these Islamic fanatics, it’s because they have no reason to attack us. We are doing exactly what they want us to and have been for some time. Think about it. All the security in the world won’t stop an attack if terrorists want to attack. Yet, we haven’t had a major attack since 2001. We won’t be attacked if Obama is elected and survives. We will be attacked however if anything happens to him or if a Republican gets elected. That’s the terrorist playbook and calendar folks and it is quite simple. Barack Obama is the puppet of Islam and is Islam’s real life equivalent of the fictitious Manchurian Candidate, groomed since childhood possibly even birth for this strategic position.

One way or another America will fall if we don’t get serious about this problem of Islam. When we fall, we will not get back up.

23 February 2008: Dallas, Texas police officer Donald Strong* could not believe what he was hearing – an order issued by the United States Secret Service to “stand down” at a Wednesday rally at the Reunion Arena where Democratic presidential candidate Barak Obama was to address a crowd of nearly 20,000 people. “About 90 minutes before the start of the event, an order was issued to stop the most basic protective security procedures. We had the manpower - it didn’t make sense,” stated the officer.

A report published in the Star Telegram describes the surprise by several Dallas police officers upon receiving an order to “put down the metal detectors and stop checking purses and laptop bags,” allowing an untold number of people access to the arena without undergoing any security screening. “It was surreal,” stated the Dallas officer to the Northeast Intelligence Network.

The officer also described the statement made by Dallas Deputy Police Chief T.W. Lawrence, who said that the turnout “seemed to be a friendly crowd” as ridiculous. Lawrence is also head of the Police Department's Homeland Security and Special Operations divisions.

“I felt that there was something wrong with the order [to stand down] but I was told not concern myself, that it was being handled. But it was not being handled. When I continued to voice my concern, I was told to ‘stay out of it,’” stated the officer, who added that he fears going public with the information could jeopardize his job. Although the rally went forth as planned without incident, Officer Strong believes that there is something else – something more nefarious going on. “The manpower was there – it was not an issue. Why would we be told to stand down? It made no sense. There needs to be an investigation [of this incident] and the individual who ultimately issued the order needs to be identified. I’ve been a cop too long not to know that there is something bigger going on here.”

Obama mentor identified as communist
Frank Marshall Davis 'discussed American imperialism, colonialism, exploitation'

The mysterious "Frank" cited as a friend and adviser by Democratic president contender Barack Obama while he was growing up in Hawaii has been identified as Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the old Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA.

The identification comes from Cliff Kincaid in his column, "Obama's Communist Mentor," which was made available on the Accuracy in Media website.

"Let's challenge the liberal media to report on this," he wrote in his column. "Will they have the honesty and integrity to do so?"

Kincaid, who earlier reported on Obama's pending plan to ship $845 billion overseas to battle "global poverty" as evidence of his socialist leanings, said the newly revealed connection is even more worrisome.

"Obama's communist connection adds to mounting public concern about a candidate who has come out of virtually nowhere, with a brief U.S. Senate legislative record, to become the Democratic Party frontrunner for the U.S. presidency," he wrote.

In Obama's book, "Dreams From My Father," he repeatedly refers to his friend and adviser as "Frank."

"The reason is apparent: Davis was a known communist who belonged to a party subservient to the Soviet Union. In fact, the 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What's more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several Communist front organizations," Kincaid said.

Kincaid noted Obama has admitted attending "social conferences" and seeing Marxist literature. "But he ridicules the charge of being a 'hard-core academic Marxist,' which was made by his colorful and outspoken 2004 U.S. Senate opponent, Republican Alan Keyes."

He described the link as "ominous."

"Decades ago, the CPUSA had tens of thousands of members, some of them covert agents who had penetrated the U.S. government. It received secret subsidies from the old Soviet Union," Kincaid wrote.

He noted even Obama describes "Frank" has having "some modest notoriety once."

Kincaid notes that a history professor in Houston reported that Davis "befriended" a family whose son was named Barack Obama, "who retracing the steps of Davis eventually decamped to Chicago."

"It was in Chicago that Obama became a 'community organizer' and came into contact with more far-left political forces, including the Democratic Socialists of America…," Kincaid wrote. "The SDS laid siege to college campuses across America in the 1960s, mostly in order to protest the Vietnam War, and spawned the terrorist Weather Underground organization."

He also reported Kathryn Takara, a professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, confirmed that Davis is the "Frank" in Obama's book.

She did her dissertation on Davis, and wrote that he brought, "an acute sense of race relations and class struggle throughout America and the world" and that he openly discussed subjects such as American imperialism, colonialism and exploitation, according to AIM.

Obama's campaign also, for the third straight day, declined to respond to WND requests for comment on the report of a Minnesota man who alleges he shared cocaine with Obama when Obama was a state lawmaker in Illinois.

WND has reported on claims made by Larry Sinclair, who claims he took cocaine in 1999 with Obama, and participated in homosexual acts with him.

Sinclair said his story was ignored by the news media, so he made his case last month in a YouTube video, which has now been viewed about 350,000 times.

When it still was ignored, Sinclair said, he filled a lawsuit in Minnesota District Court, alleging threats and intimidation by Obama's staff.

The Ultimate Welfare State

It's this bloggers opinion that we've so dumbed down our population, allowed the victim mentality to go unchecked, and perpetuated public welfare system for so long that we are doomed as a nation unless we pull ourselves up by our bootstraps, and take personal responsibility for our actions, educations and livelihood.

There is absolutely no excuse in this country to not take advantage of the many avenues for financial aid for education. Education and it's application is the way out of poverty, NOT welfare. Case in point below:

Sharon Jasper has been victimized. Sharon Jasper has been rabidly wronged. She has become a Section 8 carcass--the victim of ever changing public housing policies.

Sharon Jasper has spent 57 or her 58 years dedicated to one cause and one cause only, and has nothing to show for her dedicated servitude. She has lived in Section 8 housing all but 1 of her 58 years. It was a legacy passed down from her parents who moved into Section 8 housing in 1949 when she was six months old. She has passed the legacy down to her children, but fears they may have to get jobs to pay for the utilities and deposits. She laments about her one year hiatus from the comfort of her Section 8 nirvana, ' I tried it for a year..you know.working and all. It's not anything I would want to go through again, or wish on anyone in my family, but I am damn proud of that year.' Sharon was moved out of her St. Bernard housing project after hurricane Katrina and into a new, yet albeit, substandard quarterage. As can be noted from the above photo of her new Section 8 home, it is repugnant and not suitable for someone of Sharon Jasper's seniority status in the system. 'Don't be fooled by them hardwood floors,' says Sharon. 'They told me they were putting in scraped wood floors cause it was more expensive and elegant, but I am not a fool-that was just a way to make me take scratched up wood. The 60-inch HD TV? It may look nice but it is not a plasma. It's not a plasma because I'm black. Now they want me to pay a deposit and utilities on this dump.'

When a near riotous exchange between groups opposing the tearing down of St. Bernard and groups wanting the dilapidated buildings torn down and newer ones built, Sharon unleashed verbal hell with her once silenced tongue. The object of her oratory prowess was an acquiescent poor boy in attendance. The context of her scathing rebuke was, 'Just because you pay for my house, my car, my big screen and my food, I will not be treated like a slave!' (huh?...blogger note)

Recapping from the mental log of the city council minutes in her head, Sharon repines, 'Our families have been displaced all over the United States. They are being forced to commit crimes in cities they are unfamiliar with. It is a very uncomfortable situation for them. Bring them back, then let's talk about redevelopment.' (Oh thanks! Sharon directs the reporter's attention across the street to Duncan Plaza where homeless people are living in tents and states that, 'I might do better out there with one of these tents.' She further lamented her sentiments about her situation,' I might be poor, but I don't have to live poor..

3 February 2008: In 2001, as the entire world bore witness, the Pentagon was attacked by Islamic terrorists. In the years since, it continues to be attacked and the security of our nation threatened. Not by planes hijacked by Islamic terrorists, suicide bombers or chemical weapons, but by a more effective and insidious enemy – the enemy within, coupled with our lack of understanding of their strategy, and our malaise as time fades the vivid images of the death and destruction that took place within our borders on 9/11.

The most recent example of such attacks, perhaps the “Exhibit A” of 2008, is the decision not to renew the contract of the Pentagon’s leading authorities on Islamic war doctrine, Major Stephen Coughlin. Major Coughlin is the author of a 333 page document titled To Our Great Detriment, which provides important insight into the agenda and tactics of our enemy. For doing his job well – and to our great detriment - Major Coughlin has essentially been fired from his job at the Pentagon.

Arguably, Major Coughlin has been fired for pointing out that:

* “Never understanding the enemy means never being able to generate an effective strategy to defeat him,”

* “Failure to account for Islamic law will result in a failure to recognize the laws of jihad that the enemy consciously emulates,”

* “Recalling that the disclosure of any information about Islam or Muslims that would cause a non-Muslim to question Islam violates strict Islamic laws on slander, it may help to explain why those beholden to such a standard could earnestly insist that ‘Islam has nothing to do with it’ in the face of evidence that would normally argue otherwise in other circumstances.”

Almost prophetically, Major Coughlin wrote:

“Because a slander concerning Islam can easily qualify as an insult to Islam, the consequences, as noted earlier, can be severe. This would be true even if the slander was factually accurate. This may help explain why the writing of a thesis such as this could lead to strong accusations that it is either an insult or slander to Islam even when every point asserted is verified and validated. Either way, choosing to ignore the information that lies beneath the surface of such claims is to submit the information that drives decision making and analysis to the disclosure requirements of Islamic law. This is submission.”

Unless we as Americans, begin to care about our survival as a nation more than who wins the Super Bowl tonight, we will lose the war that is taking place on our own soil.

Radical Muslims for Obama

With its similarity to popular online sites such as Facebook and MySpace and its links to a network of grassroots blogs, Barack Obama’s campaign website has been hailed as a testament to the candidate’s transformative politics. But at least part of the senator’s online outreach, “Muslim Americans for Obama ’08,” proposes installing Muslim prayer areas in public places and giving Muslims time off for prayer and has denounced Obama’s colleagues in the U.S. Senate who happen to be Jewish. This segment of Obama's online outreach also has ties to unindicted co-conspirators in terror trials and has recruited Obama supporters from among the ranks of fundamentalist Muslim extremists.

On the blog, which is attached to BarackObama.com, viewers can read about “the Senate pro-Israeli zionist hawk Joe Lieberman,” as well as criticism aimed at Obama himself for getting too cozy with the Israeli lobby. As stated on the blog, that last part was derived from information found on Electronic Intifada (EI), a terror apologist website based in Chicago, Illinois, Obama’s hometown. According to the site’s co-founder, Ali Abunimah, Senator Obama once told him, regarding Abunimah’s anti-American and anti-Israel writings, to “Keep up the good work!”

While the Muslim Americans for Obama ’08 blog is hosted by Obama’s website, it is actually part of another site that goes by the same name, located at muslimsforobama08.com. The registered agent for the site is Zakiyah Omar, a women’s costume designer from Jacksonville, Florida. Omar has been involved in the Obama campaign since December 2006 (She has had the site since February ’07). She too has her own blog hosted by the official Obama website.

On the Muslim Americans for Obama ’08 site, one will find a list of upcoming events, issues and solutions, details on how to join, a links section to sites of interest, and of course, a link to the blog. There’s even a toll-free number to call for more information.

Within the events section, a number of the listings pertain to conferences and conventions being sponsored by organizations that have a number of troubling ties. One is the 44th Annual ISNA National Convention, held in Rosemont, Illinois.

ISNA or the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) was recently named an “Unindicted Co-conspirator” for a Dallas trial that dealt with the funding of millions of dollars to Hamas. Beginning in December 2003, ISNA was the subject of a Senate investigation into the financing of terror groups overseas. The group currently uses its website to propagate violent hatred against Jews and Christians.

Another of the events listed is the 32nd ICNA-MAS Convention, held in Hartford, Connecticut. ICNA or the Islamic Circle of North America, in August 2006, was the top donor to a Pakistani charity that, at the time, had given $99,000 to the head of Hamas, Khaled Mashaal. Four people associated with the ICNA-related ‘Houston Taliban’ were arrested and charged with jihad training with firearms, for the purpose of joining the Taliban to attack Americans overseas.

MAS or the Muslim American Society, like ISNA, uses the web to spread violent hatred against non-Muslims. In April 2004, MAS’s Communications Director, Randall Todd “Ismail” Royer, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his activities within the ‘Virginia Jihad Network,’ a group that was conspiring with Laskar-e-Taiba (LeT) to attack Americans and Indians abroad.

Yet another event listing is the 2007 MANA National Convention, held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. MANA or the Muslim Alliance in North America was founded in May of 2000, in response to the arrest of cop killer H. Rap Brown, a.k.a. Jamil Al-Amin. The President (Amir) of the organization is Siraj Wahhaj, an individual that was named by the U.S. government an “Unindicted Co-conspirator” in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

According to Muslim Americans for Obama ’08, it took part in “VOTER REGISTRATION/INFORMATION BOOTHS,” at each of the above venues. Taking that into consideration, since Muslim Americans for Obama ’08 is officially part of the Barack Obama for President team – or as the campaign puts it, “Community” – one can conclude that Senator Obama and/or his campaign had sanctioned its attendance at these events.
Further troubling are the following “Issues & Solutions” on the site:

Institute a Law to allow Muslim Employees to take an hour off from work for Friday Jummah Prayer.

Make the 2 Eid’s recognized National Holidays on Calendars with days off from work.

Provide prayer areas suitable for Salah and Jummah, in public and private facilities. (i.e. Malls, Airports, Universities and government buildings.)

Found on the right side of the website’s homepage are a series of links, most of which deal with information about Senator Obama and the campaign. One of them, though, is a link to Aswat Al-Islam, a radical Islamic multimedia outlet. Muslim Americans for Obama ’08 lists it as “Quran (Audio) English Translation.”

Aswat Al-Islam features the works of such Islamist luminaries as: “Uninidicted Co-conspirators” of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, Siraj Wahhaj and Bilal Philips; anti-Christian bigot, Ahmed Deedat; pro-wife beating author, Jamal Badawi; suicide bombing supporter, Yusuf Al-Qaradawi; and the chief cleric of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, who has called for the murders of Jews, Christians and Americans and has described Jews as “the scum of the human race, the rats of the world, the killers of prophets, and the grandsons of monkeys and pigs,” Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais.
According to Muslim Americans for Obama ’08, Senator Barack Obama “is the BEST candidate for the job in 2008.” But being the best candidate should have as a requisite keeping company that is worthy of respect. Recently, Obama has been cited for having a racist and anti-Israel pastor, Jeremiah Wright, and a campaign advisor that has expressed sympathy for Hamas and Hezbollah, Robert Malley.

If Sen. Obama truly is worthy of the presidency of the United States, he should publicly distance himself from these extremist groups and individuals. And if he does not want his campaign to be seen as hospitable to radical voices, he should sever his ties with the blog that provides credible evidence for this charge.

Islamist 'Trojan horse' in Pentagon, say experts
FBI: Top defense advisers linked to radical Muslim Brotherhood

Federal authorities say a high-level Muslim Pentagon aide, who led a campaign to silence a Pentagon intelligence analyst for taking a hard line against Islam, is running an "influence operation" on behalf of U.S. Muslim groups fronting for the radical Muslim Brotherhood.

Hesham H. Islam, a special assistant to Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England, recently criticized Maj. Stephen Coughlin, one of the military's leading authorities on Islamic war doctrine, for making the connection between the religion of Islam and terrorism.

After Islam lodged complaints, Coughlin's contract with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon was not renewed.

Islam also was upset with briefings Coughlin recently prepared for the U.S. military warning that major U.S. Muslim groups were fronting for the Muslim Brotherhood, a worldwide jihadist movement based in Egypt.

Islam, who was born and raised in Egypt, is heavily involved with one of the groups – the Islamic Society of North America, which U.S. prosecutors last year named as a member of the U.S. branch of the Muslim Brotherhood and an unindicted co-conspirator in a major terror-funding case.

Islam has persuaded his boss, England, to conduct various outreach with ISNA, including hosting the group's leaders in the Pentagon and speaking at its annual convention.

Speaking during ISNA's 2006 opening ceremonies, England proclaimed, "There is no contradiction between the peaceful religion of Islam and America's values and principles."

Coughlin reached the opposite conclusion in a 329-page report submitted to the National Defense Intelligence College, in which he warns that Islamic law sanctions violence. That finding, among others, has put him at odds with Islam, whom England describes as "my personal close confidante."

"I take his advice," England said, "and I listen to him all the time."

WND has learned that Islam is closely associated with a Muslim military chaplain trained at a radical Islamic school that federal agents raided after 9/11 in connection with terror-financing.

As WND reported, the chaplain, Abuhena M. Saifulislam, studied Islam at the Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences in Virginia.

Recently declassified FBI documents reveal its sister organization, an Islamist think tank known as the International Institute of Islamic Thought, or IIIT, is involved in a Muslim Brotherhood conspiracy to wage a cultural and political jihad to eventually take over America from within – most notably, through infiltration of government agencies.

Islam works closely with Saifulislam (Arabic for "sword of Islam") on Pentagon outreach projects involving Middle Eastern embassies and the so-called Wahhabi lobby in Washington.

"He's a Muslim brother," an FBI official said of Islam. "He's a bad actor. He's well-positioned to be where he is, and that doesn't do us any good."

He also said Saifulislam is "definitely Muslim Brotherhood," while noting that Islam "is a lot smoother than Saifulislam," who as a chaplain at Gitmo lobbied for special meals and other privileges for al-Qaida detainees.

The official hastened to add that, at this point, belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood is not criminal, and neither Defense Department employee is the subject of a formal counterterrorism or counterespionage investigation. Both men have refused interviews, and the Pentagon had no comment.

However, the FBI official warned that the Muslim aides are part of a conspiracy by Muslim Brotherhood fronts to run "influence operations" against the U.S. government.

"Their M.O. is to make nice for the very purpose of penetrating us," he said, "and we just roll over for them, at least at the top levels."

He says England, who also recently dedicated an Islamic prayer center at Quantico on the advice of Saifulislam, is blind to the threat.

"England doesn't know it's an influence operation that's been laid at his door," he said. "His lack of awareness is irresponsible."

A senior U.S. official who has met with England says he was not even aware that a convicted terrorist and al-Qaida fund-raiser created the Pentagon's Muslim chaplains corps.

Adurahman Alamoudi, a Muslim Brotherhood leader and founder of the American Muslim Council, placed Muslim chaplains throughout the military. He is now in jail on charges of terrorism. However, most of the chaplains he trained and sponsored are still in their current positions.

"The Islamic chaplains who serve were trained by a known terrorist," said terrorism expert Steve Emerson.

Emerson says Islam, like Alamoudi, has invited "subversive" elements into U.S. military headquarters.

"Hesham Islam is an Islamist with a pro-Muslim Brotherhood bent who has brought in groups to the Pentagon who have been unindicted co-conspirators," he said.

Emerson said a "Trojan horse" of subversives and potential spies have penetrated deep inside the Pentagon, and they are now bearing fruit with the ouster of Coughlin. Sources say Islam has high security clearance.

A former Pentagon colleague of Coughlin described Islam as a "gatekeeper," who at a minimum, is blocking candid discussion of the religious nature of the threat posed by Muslim terrorists. Such action, William Gawthrop says, thwarts the U.S. war effort, because it denies military brass and rank-and-file the information they need to effectively fight the Islamist enemy.

"We still do not have an in-depth understanding of the war-fighting doctrine laid down by (the Muslim prophet) Muhammad, how it might be applied today by an increasing number of Islamic groups, or how it might be countered," Gawthrop told WND.

He says Coughlin was trying to bridge that gap before being pushed out.

Supporters of the respected contractor say Islam had a direct hand in his firing. They say that on Jan. 3 Coughlin was told his contract, which ends in March, would not be renewed because his message had become too "politically hot."

They say that in a meeting late last year between Coughlin and a member of England's staff, which Islam unexpectedly attended, Islam asked Coughlin to "soften his message" regarding Islamic war doctrine. Coughlin refused.

Islam was heard referring to Coughlin as a "Christian zealot with a poison pen." The conflict resulted in his contract being terminated.

A well-placed Pentagon insider described it differently, however. Islam and Coughlin were present at the briefing, but there was no direct confrontation between the two. It was not until Hesham returned to England's office suite that he remarked that Coughlin had a "poison pen."

"He clearly doesn't like him," the source told WND.

Also, Coughlin was let go in part because his contract was up, and at $440,000, it was too steep to justify renewing, the insider says. And though he had written a 329-page thesis on the subject, he was not effective at briefing the J-2 intelligence staff of the Joint Chiefs.

"He's brilliant, and he knows his stuff, but he couldn't teach it," the source said. "It went over everybody's head."

Still, England has not properly vetted his long-time aide, Islam. "Gordon is so trusting of this guy because he's worked for him for so long," the same official said. "But he's got questionable contacts, and he (England) needs to have his antennae up."

M y favorite headline of the year so far comes from The Daily Mail in Britain: "Government Renames Islamic Terrorism As 'Anti-Islamic Activity' To Woo Muslims."
Her Majesty's government is not alone in feeling it's not always helpful to link Islam and the, ah, various unpleasantnesses with suicide bombers and whatnot. Even in his cowboy Crusader heyday, President Bush liked to cool down the crowd with a lot of religion-of-peace stuff. But the British have now decided that kind of mealy-mouthed "respect" is no longer sufficient. So, henceforth, any terrorism perpetrated by persons of an Islamic persuasion will be designated "anti-Islamic activity" Britain's home secretary, Jacqui Smith, unveiled the new brand name in a speech a few days ago. "There is nothing Islamic about the wish to terrorize, nothing Islamic about plotting murder, pain and grief," she told her audience. "Indeed, if anything, these actions are anti-Islamic."
Well, yes, one sort of sees what she means. Killing thousands of people in Manhattan skyscrapers in the name of Islam does, among a certain narrow-minded type of person, give Islam a bad name, and thus could be said to be "anti-Islamic" - in the same way that the Luftwaffe raining down death and destruction on Londoners during the Blitz was an "anti-German activity." But I don't recall even Neville Chamberlain explaining, as if to a five-year-old, that there is nothing German about the wish to terrorize and invade, and that this is entirely at odds with the core German values of sitting around eating huge sausages in beer gardens while wearing lederhosen.

Still, it should add a certain surreal quality to BBC news bulletins: "The Prime Minister today condemned the latest anti-Islamic activity as he picked through the rubble of Downing Street looking for his 2008 Wahhabi Community Outreach Award. In a related incident, the anti-Islamic activists who blew up Buckingham Palace have unfortunately caused the postponement of the Queen's annual Ramadan banquet."
A few days ago, a pre-trial hearing in an Atlanta courtroom made public for the first time a video made by two Georgia Tech students. Syed Haris Ahmed and Ehsanul Islam Sadequee went to Washington and took footage of key buildings, and that "casing video" then wound up in the hands of Younis Tsouli, an al-Qaeda recruiter in London. As the film shot by the Georgia students was played in court, Ehsanul Islam Sadequee's voice could be heard on the soundtrack: "This is where our brothers attacked the Pentagon."
"Allahu Akbar," responds young Ahmed. God is great.
How "anti-Islamic" an activity is that? Certainly, not all Muslims want to fly planes into the Pentagon. But those that do do it in the name of their faith. And anyone minded to engage in an "anti-Islamic activity" will find quite a lot of support from leading Islamic scholars. Take, for example, the "moderate" imam Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who once observed that "we will conquer Europe, we will conquer America! Not through the sword, but through dawa" - i.e., the non-incendiary form of Islamic outreach.
What could be more moderate than that? No wonder Mr. al-Qaradawi is an associate of the Islamic Society of Boston, currently building the largest mosque in the northeast, and also a pal of the present mayor of London. The impeccably moderate mullah was invited to address a British conference sponsored by the police and the Department of Work and Pensions on "Our Children, Our Future." And, when it comes to the children, Imam Qaradawi certainly has their future all mapped out. "Israelis might have nuclear bombs," he said, "but we have the children bomb and these human bombs must continue until liberation." As Maurice Chevalier used to say, thank heaven for little girls, they blow up in the most delightful way.
The British home secretary would respond that not all moderate imams are as gung-ho to detonate moppets. Which is true. But, by insisting on re-labeling terrorism committed by Muslims in the name of Islam as "anti-Islamic activity," Her Majesty's government is engaging not merely in Orwellian Newspeak but in self-defeating Orwellian Newspeak. The broader message it sends is that ours is a weak culture so unconfident and insecure that if you bomb us and kill us our first urge is to find a way to flatter and apologize to you.
Here's another news item out of Britain this week: A new version of The Three Little Pigs was turned down for some "excellence in education" award on the grounds that "the use of pigs raises cultural issues" and, as a result, the judges "had concerns for the Asian community" - i.e., Muslims. Non-Muslim Asians - Hindus and Buddhists - have no "concerns" about anthropomorphized pigs.
This is now a recurring theme in British life. A while back, it was a local government council telling workers not to have knick-knacks on their desks representing Winnie-the-Pooh's porcine sidekick, Piglet. As Martin Niemöller famously said, first they came for Piglet and I did not speak out because I was not a Disney character and, if I was, I'm more of an Eeyore. So then they came for the Three Little Pigs, and Babe, and by the time I realized my country had turned into a 24/7 Looney Tunes it was too late, because there was no Porky Pig to stammer "Th-th-th-that's all, folks!" and bring the nightmare to an end.
Just for the record, it's true that Muslims, like Jews, are not partial to bacon and sausages. But the Koran has nothing to say about cartoon pigs. Likewise, it is silent on the matter of whether one can name a teddy bear after Mohammed. What all these stories have in common is the excessive deference to Islam. If the Three Little Pigs are verboten when Muslims do not yet comprise ten percent of the British population, what else will be on the blacklist by the time they're, say, 20 percent?
A couple of days later, Elizabeth May, leader of Canada's Green party (the fourth-largest political party), spoke out against her country's continued military contribution to the international force in Afghanistan. "More ISAF forces from a Christian/Crusader heritage," she said, "will continue to fuel an insurgency that has been framed as a jihad." As it happens, Canada did not send troops to the Crusades, mainly because the fun was over several centuries before Canada came in existence. Six years ago, it was mostly the enemy who took that line, Osama bin Laden raging at the Great Satan for the fall of Andalusia in 1492, which, with the best will in the world, it's hard to blame on Halliburton. But since then, the pathologies of Islamism have proved surprisingly contagious among western elites.

You remember the Three Little Pigs? One builds a house of straw, and another of sticks, and both get blown down by the Big Bad Wolf. Western civilization is a mighty house of bricks, but who needs a Big Bad Wolf when the pig's so eager to demolish it himself?

CAIR: Demanding Israel Appease Hamas Terrorists

On 21 January, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Washington, D.C. based Islamist terrorist supporting front group, issued an "Action Alert" calling on readers to contact American political leaders in order to pressure Israel to lift a "humanitarian crisis" in Gaza.

The "humanitarian crisis" developed when Israel reduced deliveries of fuel, food, and medicines in response to rocket attacks by members of the Hamas terrorist group. Hamas terrorists have been firing rockets into Southern Israel since taking power by force in June.

CAIR, true to its lap-dog propagandizing on behalf of Islamist terrorism, states that the United States has the "right and the responsibility to demand Israel abide by American and universal human rights standards."

But what about the rights of the Israeli civilians terror murdered or wounded by the Hamas rockets? Or does CAIR consider all Israelis to be soldiers?

Why doesn't CAIR demand that Hamas abide by "American and universal human rights standards" and stop the rockets? Because CAIR has proven links to and was founded by Hamas members and supporters.

CAIR continues:

"Seventy-nine percent of Gaza households live under the poverty line, 40 percent suffer from unemployment and almost half the population in the Gaza Strip is made up of children."

Hamas rules Gaza with an iron fist, claims to represent the Palestinian people and yet is unable to provide even basic civil services in an area of about 139 square miles. But yet, Hamas seems to have plenty of money for weapons, rockets, and ammunition despite the "Israeli blockade".

Why is it that Hamas, faced with this "humanitarian crises", would prefer to import weapons over food for the very Palestinian civilians it claims to protect?

What does it say about Hamas that they'd rather kill Israeli civilians than feed "almost half the population in the Gaza Strip" that is "made up of children"?

Of course, CAIR can't criticize Hamas; to do so would be to criticize family.

So, the world will condemn Israel for cutting off supplies to a terrorist government and will say nothing to Hamas terrorists who would starve their own children in a propaganda exercise designed to make Israel appear to be the aggressor.

What does this say about CAIR that they condemn Muslim children to starvation?

Imam offers prayer at Iowa Statehouse asking Allah for "victory over those who disbelieve"

Over the past few months we have sent out reports and articles providing insight into “Cultural Jihad” – the Islamist subversion of a society from within. Cultural Jihad is at a very advanced stage in countries like France and Great Britain, and it is on the march here in America.

What is insidious about Cultural Jihad is that it is not obvious, like acts of terrorism are. But its “end game” is the Islamization of a society and the replacement of existing law with strict Islamic sharia law.

The news story below reports how a Muslim imam opened the Iowa legislative session with a prayer that included an appeal for “victory over those who disbelieve” and “protection from the great Satan.” The “great Satan,” of course, is the United States. “Victory over those who disbelieve” is consistent with Islamic teaching that Allah is to be dominant over all religions, government, laws and people. This is to be accomplished through “Jihad” – which can take the form of violent conquest or cultural subversion and ultimate subjugation.

That some Muslims are becoming so bold as to proclaim their ultimate objective and declare us their enemy – in such a public forum as a state legislative opening session – speaks volumes as to how far Cultural Jihad has already advanced in America.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is why we continue to issue warnings, alerts and information. This is why we are calling concerned citizens to action and organizing across the country. Muslim opening prayer at Iowa Statehouse raises concerns

The Iowa Legislature started just over a week ago and some people were upset before the first issue was ever addressed.

When the session began, a Muslim Imam began the prayer in the Iowa Legislature. This is where the controversy begins.

The prayer asked of "Victory over those who disbelieve," and "Protection from the great Satan" among other things.

Pastor Steve Smith of the Evangelical Free Church in Albert City is among those concerned about the Muslim prayer. Rev. Smith admits that he doesn't know about all the levels of Muslim but knows that the Jihadists believe those in the U.S. are the great Satan.

Rev. Smith also wants to point out the mention of "victory over those who disbelieve." He feels "this is a request in the Iowa Legislature for God to grant the Muslims victory over every non-muslim. Not a request for salvation." Smith takes it as a gesture not of prayer but more as a political statement, especially with the wars that have been going on in the Middle East.

"I'm not concerned about a Muslim Imam opening the Legislature in prayer but it concerns me with the statements that were made. He interpreted this prayer from his understanding of Islam."

Here is the text of the opening prayer, as transcribed by Radio Iowa:

Imam Muhammad Khan of the Islamic Center of Des Moines spoke first in Arabic.

"I seek refuge in God against the accursed Satan in the name of God, most gracious, most merciful," Khan said in English. Khan made no specific mention of the war in Iraq or foreign affairs, but he called God the "master of the day of judgment" and asked for "victory over those who disbelieve."

"As we begin this new year...in a world with trials and tribulations, we ask you to open the hearts of our legislators and policy makers to make the right decisions for the people of Iowa," Khan said. "...We ask that you guide our legislators and give them the wisdom and knowledge to tackle the difficult problems that face us today in order to eliminate the senseless crimes on humanity. Help them, Lord, to solve the complicated problems in the State of Iowa so that we can be a model to the world."

Khan's prayer lasted about four minutes and he closed with a few words for legislators.

"On behalf of the Muslim community of Des Moines and Iowa, I wish you all the success in this year for making the right decisions for us," Khan said. Khan was the guest of State Representative Ako Abdul Samad of Des Moines, who is also a local Muslim leader.

Rev. Smith has urged others who may be concerned to contact their representative.

When asked about the prayer, Senator Steve Kettering replied in an e-mail that he had not heard the prayer, which did not take place in the Senate chambers.

"I cannot tell you what was said. I have received e-mail regarding this, but since it did not occur on the Senate side I do not have much information," Kettering said. "I should point out that the senate had a Catholic priest for their opening."

Representative Gary Worthan of Storm Lake said that he agrees with the concern being shown over the Muslim prayer.

He said that he has registered his concerns with the proper authorities.

As the father of two sons who have fought terrorism in the military, Worthan said the phrases mentioned earlier also jumped out at him and he said he shares concern for the same reasons as the constituents he is hearing from.

Bush Nearly Moved to Tears at Holocaust Memorial

JERUSALEM (AP) - President Bush had tears in his eyes during an hour-long tour of Israel's Holocaust memorial Friday and told Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that the U.S. should have bombed Auschwitz to halt the killing, the memorial's chairman said.

Bush emerged from a tour of the Yad Vashem memorial calling it a "sobering reminder" that evil must be resisted, and praising victims for not losing their faith.

Wearing a yarmulke, Bush placed a red-white-and-blue wreath on a stone slab that covers ashes of Holocaust victims taken from six extermination camps. He also lit a torch memorializing the victims.

Bush was visibly moved as he toured the site, said Yad Vashem's chairman, Avner Shalev.

"Twice, I saw tears well up in his eyes," Shalev said.

At one point, Bush viewed aerial photos of the Auschwitz camp taken during the war by U.S. forces and called Rice over to discuss why the American government had decided against bombing the site, Shalev said.

"We were talking about the often-discussed 'Could the United States have done more by bombing the train tracks?'" Rice told reporters later aboard Air Force One. "And so we were just talking about the various explanations that had been given about why that might not have been done."

The Allies had detailed reports about Auschwitz during the war from Polish partisans and escaped prisoners. But they chose not to bomb the camp, the rail lines leading to it, or any of the other Nazi death camps, preferring instead to focus all resources on the broader military effort, a decision that became the subject of intense controversy years later.

Between 1.1 million and 1.5 million people were killed at the camp.

"We should have bombed it," Bush said, according to Shalev.

In the memorial's visitors' book, the president wrote simply, "God bless Israel, George Bush."

The memorial was closed to the public and under heavy guard Friday, with armed soldiers standing on top of some of the site's monuments and a police helicopter and surveillance blimp hovering in the air overhead.

"I was most impressed that people in the face of horror and evil would not forsake their God. In the face of unspeakable crimes against humanity, brave souls—young and old—stood strong for what they believe," Bush said.

"I wish as many people as possible would come to this place. It is a sobering reminder that evil exists, and a call that when evil exists we must resist it," he said.

It was Bush's second visit to the Holocaust memorial, a regular stop on the visits of foreign dignitaries. His first was in 1998, as governor of Texas. The last U.S. president to visit was Bill Clinton in 1994.

Bush, making the most extensive Mideast trip of his presidency, was accompanied on his tour by a small party that included Rice and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

At the compound, overlooking a forest on Jerusalem's outskirts, Bush visited a memorial to the 1.5 million Jewish children killed in the Holocaust, featuring six candles reflected 1.5 million times in a hall of mirrors. At the site's Hall of Remembrance, he heard a cantor sing a Jewish prayer for the dead.

Shalev presented Bush with illustrations of the Bible drawn by the Jewish artist Carol Deutsch, who perished in the Holocaust.

Deutsch created the works while in hiding from the Nazis in Belgium. He was informed upon, and died in 1944 in the Buchenwald camp. After the war, his daughter Ingrid discovered that the Nazis had confiscated their furniture and valuables but had left behind a single item: a meticulously crafted wooden box adorned with a Star of David and a seven-branched menorah, containing a collection of 99 of the artist's illustrations of biblical scenes.

The originals are on display at Yad Vashem. The memorial recently decided to produce a special series of 500 replicas, the first of which was to be presented to Bush.

Debbie Deutsch-Berman, a Yad Vashem employee whose grandfather was Deutsch's brother, said she was proud that Bush would be given her relative's artwork.

"These are not just his paintings, they are his legacy, and the fact that they survived shows that as much as our enemies tried to destroy the ideas that these paintings embody, they failed," she said.

Later Friday, Bush was to wrap up his three-day visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories with a visit to Christian holy sites in Galilee before departing for Kuwait, the next stop on his Mideast tour.

This isn't a political "ad" or endorsement, but it's a very moving story.

"As you may know, I spent five and one half years as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. In the early years of our imprisonment, the NVA kept us in solitary confinement or two or three to a cell. In 1971 the NVA moved us from these conditions of isolation into large rooms with as many as 30 to 40 men to a room.
This was, as you can imagine, a wonderful change and was a direct result of the efforts of millions of Americans on behalf of a few hundred POWs 10,000 miles from home.
One of the men who moved into my room was a young man named Mike Christian.
Mike came from a small town near Selma , Alabama He didn't wear a pair of shoes until he was 13 years old. At 17, he enlisted in the US Navy. He later earned a commission by going to Officer Training School Then he became a Naval Flight Officer and was shot down and captured in 1967. Mike had a keen and deep appreciation of the opportunities this country and our military provide for people who want to work and want to succeed.
As part of the change in treatment, the Vietnamese allowed some prisoners to receive packages from home. In some of these packages were handkerchiefs, scarves and other items of clothing.
Mike got himself a bamboo needle. Over a period of a couple of months, he created an American flag and sewed it on the inside of his shirt.
Every afternoon, before we had a bowl of soup, we would hang Mike's shirt on the wall of the cell and say the Pledge of Allegiance.
I know the Pledge of Allegiance may not seem the most important part of our day now, but I can assure you that in that stark cell it was indeed the most important and meaningful event.
One day the Vietnamese searched our cell, as they did periodically, and discovered Mike's shirt with the flag sewn inside, and removed it.
That evening they returned, opened the door of the cell, and for the benefit of all of us, beat Mike Christian severely for the next couple of hours. Then, they opened the door of the cell and threw him in. We cleaned him up as well as we could.
The cell in which we lived had a concrete slab in the middle on which we slept. Four naked light bulbs hung in each corner of the room.
As I said, we tried to clean up Mike as well as we could. After the excitement died down, I looked in the corner of the room, and sitting there beneath that dim light bulb with a piece of red cloth, another shirt and his bamboo needle, was my friend, Mike Christian. He was sitting there with his eyes almost shut from the beating he had received, making another American flag. He was not making the flag because it made Mike Christian feel better. He was making that flag because he knew how important it was to us to be able to Pledge our allegiance to our flag and country.
So the next time you say the Pledge of Allegiance, you must never forget the sacrifice and courage that thousands of Americans have made to build our nation and promote freedom around the world. You must remember our duty, our honor, and our country."

Hezbollah: Signs of a Sophisticated Intelligence Apparatus

This Stratfor terrorism report reveals a compelling, chilling example of Cultural Jihad at work in America. Cultural Jihad is Jihad by means other than violent ones, whose purpose is to weaken and undermine a culture from within in order to eventually make that culture ripe for Islamic subjugation. Cultural Jihad is well-advanced in countries in Western Europe (see Londonistan, by Melanie Phillips) and books such as Infiltration by Paul Sperry document the degree to which Cultural Jihad is underway in America. The lesson for all of us is this – Islamofascism is about much more than overt acts of terrorism.

On Dec. 4, Samar Spinelli, a U.S. Marine captain, pleaded guilty in U.S. district court in Detroit to conspiring to commit citizenship and passport fraud. By pleading guilty, Spinelli admitted to having conspired with her former roommate, Nada Nadim Prouty, to fraudulently obtain U.S. citizenship. Prouty, a former FBI agent and CIA case officer, pleaded guilty in the same court in November to accessing a federal computer system to obtain information about the Lebanese-based militant group Hezbollah and conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government, among other charges. Spinelli's other former roommate, Elfat El Aouar -- Prouty's sister -- is serving an 18-month prison sentence for tax evasion. All three women were born in Lebanon.

The evidence, allegations and related cases suggest that Hezbollah has established a sophisticated intelligence apparatus that reaches into the United States. [emphasis added]. Moreover, it is possible -- though certainly not proven -- that Spinelli and Prouty used their positions in government agencies to provide Hezbollah with sensitive information. If these women were indeed Hezbollah plants, the magnitude of the information they provided to Hezbollah and Iran could be similar in importance to the information Robert Hanssen provided to the Soviets and Russians -- and the damage could prove to be just as great.

The Web

Although the network of interpersonal relations and sham marriages muddle the story, the evidence appears as follows:

One of the three former roommates, El Aouar, is married to fugitive Talal Chahine, an alleged Hezbollah financial operative who is believed to be hiding in Lebanon. Chahine was charged in 2006 in the Eastern District of Michigan with tax evasion in connection with a scheme to conceal more than $20 million in cash received by a chain of restaurants he owns and routing those funds to "persons in Lebanon." In October 2007, Chahine, along with a senior Immigrations and Customs Enforcement official in Detroit and several other people, was charged in a bribery and extortion conspiracy in which federal immigration benefits allegedly were awarded to illegal aliens in exchange for money that also apparently ended up in Hezbollah's coffers.

According to court documents, Spinelli, whose maiden name was Khalil Nabbouh, entered the United States from Lebanon on a student visa in 1989. After her arrival, she lived in Taylor, Mich., with sisters Elfat El Aouar and Nada Nadim El Aouar (who would later become Nada Prouty). The El Aouar sisters also had entered the United States on student visas, and had failed to return to Lebanon once their studies ended.

On April 13, 1990, Spinelli entered into a fraudulent marriage with Jean Paul Deladurantaye in order to remain in the United States and obtain U.S. citizenship. On Aug. 9, 1990, Spinelli then facilitated Prouty's fraudulent marriage to Chris Deladurantaye, the brother of Spinelli's sham husband.

Spinelli enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 1990 and, after receiving her citizenship, divorced Deladurantaye and married a fellow Marine, Capt. Gary Spinelli, in 1995. Commissioned as a Marine officer in 1997, Spinelli rose to the rank of captain and was awarded several decorations. She reportedly was serving her second tour of duty in Iraq when she was called back to face the fraud charges.

Meanwhile, Prouty worked as a waitress at one of Chahine's restaurants as she earned a bachelor's degree from Detroit Business College. After gaining her U.S. citizenship in 1994, she moved to Pennsylvania to pursue an MBA at Bloomsburg University. While at Bloomsburg, she met and married Andrew Alley, who had served as a Marine during Operation Desert Storm. In 1997, the FBI hired Prouty as an agent and assigned her to the FBI's Washington field office, where she worked on an extraterritorial squad investigating crimes against U.S. persons overseas -- terrorism cases. As part of her duties, she investigated the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole and the 2002 assassination of American diplomat Laurence Foley, in Amman, Jordan. In 2000, Prouty divorced Alley and later married Foreign Service officer Gordon Prouty, who had served at U.S. embassies in Islamabad, Pakistan, and Cairo, Egypt.

Knowing Nada Prouty from her work as an FBI agent working terrorism cases, the CIA hired her in 2003, and she became an agency case officer. She reportedly was assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, and participated in a number of interrogations of high-value suspects, including captured al Qaeda members. When the CIA learned of Prouty's immigration fraud in December 2005, the agency reportedly moved her to a less sensitive language-training post.

Elfat El Aouar also was involved in a sham marriage in 1990 and, like her sister, went on to earn an MBA. She became the financial manager of the La Shish restaurants and married La Shish owner Chahine in 2000. She was convicted on tax evasion charges and sentenced in May 2007. A third sister, Rula Nadim El Aouar, also has been charged with immigration fraud as a result of her 1992 sham marriage to a man who worked as a dishwasher at a La Shish restaurant. It was the investigation into the activities of Chahine and El Aouar that eventually led authorities to Prouty and Spinelli.

The Potential Blowback

Although there is no evidence at this point that Prouty and Spinelli worked on behalf of Hezbollah, we cannot ignore the fact that the U.S. government has produced evidence that Prouty's sister and Chahine attended an August 2002 Hezbollah fundraiser in Lebanon -- during which Chahine was seated in a position of honor at the right hand of Hezbollah's spiritual leader, Sheikh Muhammed Hussein Fadlallah.

Additionally, Prouty did admit in her guilty plea that in September 2000 she used the FBI's computerized Automated Case System (ACS) without authorization to look up her own name, her sister's name and that of Chahine. Prouty also admitted that in June 2003 she accessed the ACS to obtain information relating to an FBI national security investigation into Hezbollah -- though she had not been officially assigned to work any Hezbollah cases.

Summary of Special Panel on Holy Land's Ties to Hamas & Muslim Brotherhood

On Tuesday, December 11, the Counterterrorism Foundation, along with the NEFA Foundation and International Assessment and Strategy Center, conducted a special panel, "Infiltration and Deception: The Holy Land Foundation and the Muslim Brotherhood in America," in the halls of Congress before a packed room of experts, law enforcement and intelligence community personnel, Congressional staff, and industry leaders. Here is the written version of my introduction of the co-sponsors and the panel. The audio of the discussion and Q&A is available for download here.

I moderated as Douglas Farah (NEFA), Michael Fechter (IPT), and Jeffrey Breinholt (IASC) discussed the Holy Land Foundation's ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, the long-term goals of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Muslim American leaders who have worked for decades towards those goals, and the legal context for the trial and other terrorism-related trials in the U.S. Douglas Farah discussed the history and objectives of the Brotherhood in the U.S (see this NEFA Foundation study). He also discussed the special 1993 meeting in Philadelphia of the U.S. Palestinian Committee (see this NEFA Foundation study), at which the participants plotted long-term strategy to turn the U.S. into a safe place for the Movement, and the role of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in HL F and the Brotherhood. Michael Fechter discussed the pivotal roles of Mousa Abu Marzook, current Hamas deputy political director; Abdelrahman Alamoudi, now in jail for terrorism-related offenses; and Sami Al-Arian, also jailed for such offenses, in the formation of the Brotherhood network in the U.S., leading to the formation of HLF. You can read a written version of his comments here. Jeffrey Breinholt discussed the numerous successes in terrorism-related trials in the U.S., including two previous trials involving HLF members, and the implications of defeat. I already posted his perspective on the numerous successful federal terrorism-related prosecutions. Many of the points made at the panel had been already posted here by numerous Contributing Experts, including Matthew Levitt, who testified at the trial, but the key facts and relatioships revealed through the case deserve repeating.

Here are key quotes from the other presentations distributed at the panel and linked above:

Information directly tying the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas to HLF and CAIR, and a blatant lie denying the CAIR-HLF ties during a Congressional hearing, from the NEFA Foundation study of the MB's history in the U.S.:

During the course of the trial, federal prosecutors presented an array of internal Muslim Brotherhood documents from the 1980s and early 1990s that give a first-ever public view of the history and ideology behind the operations of the Muslim Brothers (known as the Ikhwan, the Group, or the Brotherhood) in the U.S. over the past four decades. These documents, accepted as valid by the defendants and admitted at trial without protest, discuss recruitment; organization; ideology; and the development of the Group in different phases in the United States. For researchers, the documents have the added weight of being written by the Ikhwan leaders themselves, rather than interpretations of secondary sources.

...

The exhibits make four things clear:

1) Many of the existing organizations that have set themselves up as the interlocutors between the Islamic community in the United States and the outside world (including government, law enforcement, and other faiths) were founded and controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood from their inception. Many of them changed their names over time to achieve broader national acceptance.

2) The Brotherhood established a highly-structured organization with many different faces inside the United States while deliberately and continually seeking to hide the Brotherhood's links to its front groups.

3) The agenda to be carried out by these groups in the United States in reality had little to do with the organizations' publicly-proclaimed goals, such as protecting the civil rights of Muslims. Rather, the true goal is to destroy the United States from the inside and work to establish a global Islamist society.

4) The primary function of the Brotherhood structures, from the early 1990s forward, was to support, materially and politically, the Hamas movement in the Palestinian territories, as instructed by the office of the general guide of the Muslim Brotherhood in Cairo.

...

A defining moment for the Brotherhood in the United States (and elsewhere) was the 1987 formation of Hamas as an armed group. What set Hamas apart from other Islamist groups was its public and organic link to the Muslim Brotherhood. Article 2 of the Hamas Charter states that:

"The Islamic Resistance Movement is one of the wings of the Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine. The Muslim Brotherhood Movement is a universal organization which constitutes the largest Islamic movement of modern times. It is characterized by its deep understanding, accurate comprehension and its complete embrace of all Islamic concepts of all aspects of life, culture, creed, politics, economics, education, society, justice and judgment ,the spreading of Islam, education, art, information, science of the occult and conversion to Islam."

A document titled "Annual Report for year 89-1990, Presented to the Organizational Conference," states that:

"The Central Committee for Palestinian Activism in America is in charge of planning, directing and following up on all work related to and connected to the Group. It includes several committees and organizations, some of which are: The Islamic Association of Palestine, the Occupied Land Fund, The United Association for Studies and Research, the Office of Foreign Affairs, The Investment Committee, The Rehabilitation Committee, the Medical Committee and the Legal Committee."

This is an unambiguous statement by the Brotherhood (Group) linking the IAP, the OLF (which later became the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development), and the United Association for Studies and Research (USAR), the Group's main think tank for many years. The same document notes that the HLF invested $100,000 in real estate with an ICNA-affiliated group, further indications of a strong relationship In order to bolster its outreach capabilities, the Group helped form the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) in 1994. CAIR is first mentioned by name in the Brotherhood documents as part of the July 30, 1994 agenda of the Palestine Committee. CAIR would grow to become the leading Ikhwan voice in the media and become the most prominent public face of the Group. CAIR's leadership was taken directly from the IAP and Palestine Committee.

Omar Ahmad and Nihad Awad, who co-founded CAIR and serve as CAIR's chairman emeritus and executive director, respectively, were listed as individual members of the Brotherhood's Palestine Committee in America. Ahmad and Awad also served as president and public relations director of the IAP, respectively. Interestingly, the exhibits show, on Oct. 5, 1994 CAIR received a $5,000 donation from the HLF, with the notation "CBS" in the memo line. Just two days before, CBS had aired a piece identifying the HLF and IAP as groups funding Hamas. The story led to a major outcry by Ikhwan-related groups, protesting the innocence of the groups, and it seems reasonable to assume that the money was given to CAIR to help fund the efforts to counter the CBS story, which included a letter-writing campaign and public protestations of the innocence of the named groups.

What makes the donation notable is that, in written testimony before the U.S. Congress, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad stated that it was "an outright lie" to say CAIR had received any money from the HLF, as Steve Emerson of the Investigative Project had stated. In his testimony, Awad challenged Emerson to produce "even a shred of evidence to support his ridiculous claim" that his group had received any such donation. At the time the existence of the check was unknown to Congressional investigators or the law enforcement community.

More details of the Hamas-HLF-CAIR ties from the NEFA Foundation study on the 1993 Philadelphia meeting, as well as the obvious intention of particiapnts there to hide their support for Hamas:

Federal prosecutors reported that "approximately 20 members of the Palestinian Committee" attended the Philadelphia meeting;25 the FBI has identified those individuals as "senior leaders of HAMAS, the HLFRD and the IAP."

Four HLF officials - Shukri Abu Baker, Ghassan Elashi, Mufid Abdulqader, and Haitham Maghawri -- who faced trial in Texas for providing material support to Hamas attended the conference:

. Shukri Abu Baker: Abu Baker helped found HLF and served as the organization's President, Secretary, and Chief Executive Officer. In 2005, the U.S. government asserted that his brother, Jamal, was "the former Hamas leader in Sudan and the current Hamas leader in Yemen."

. Ghassan Elashi: Elashi incorporated HLF and served as the organization's Treasurer and later as Chairman of the Board. He also incorporated IAP and was a founding board member of CAIR's Texas chapter. In April 2005, Elashi and his computer company, Infocom, were convicted for engaging in prohibited financial transactions with a Specially Designated Terrorist and conspiring to commit money laundering. That Specially Designated Terrorist was Hamas official Mousa Abu Marzook, who is married to Ghassan's cousin, Nadia Elashi. (Notably, Marzook gave HLF $210,00035 and IAP $858,158.36)

A handful of IAP officials joined their HLF associates in Philadelphia.

. Omar Ahmad: Ahmad served as President of IAP.49 Shortly after the Philadelphia meeting, in 1994, Ahmad co-founded CAIR and is currently the organization's Chairman Emeritus.

. Nihad Awad: Awad acted as IAP's Director of Public Relations. He cofounded CAIR with Omar Ahmad and is currently the group's Executive Director.

. Akram Kharroubi: In a 1991 letter, Kharroubi identifies himself as the Chairman of IAP's Washington branch. From 1995-1999, he was HLF's representative in Ramallah. According to the FBI, "during the early 1990s," Kharroubi "was in contact with HAMAS leaders, including Mousa Abu Marzook. He reportedly distributed HAMAS statements when they were issued." Detained by Israel in 1999, he admitted to his interviewers that "from 1994 to 1999, he was a money courier between HAMAS members in Jordan
and the West Bank."

. Mohammad Al-Hanooti: Hanooti served as IAP President from 1984-1986. A 2001 FBI memorandum cited an FBI source, who had "been found reliable in the past," who "stated that Al-Hanooti was a big supporter of HAMAS." That same memo cited another FBI source, who also had "been found reliable in the past," who reported "that Al-Hanooti collected over six million U.S. dollars for support of HAMAS in Israel."

. Ismail Elbarasse: Elbarasse incorporated the American Middle Eastern League for Palestine, which "did business as" IAP. Elbarasse held a joint bank account with Mousa Abu Marzook in the 1990s; further, Specially Designated Terrorist Mohammad Salah told Israeli authorities "that he was directed by Marzook to receive funds from Elbarasse to be used for funding HAMAS military operations.Salah's financial records document that Elbarasse wire-transferred a total of $735,000 to Salah from December 1992 to January 1993."

Two other attendees were affiliated with the Al-Aqsa Educational Fund (AAEF), which Chicago prosecutors have argued was a conduit for Hamas funds. According to the FBI, "in early 1994,.[the] Al-Aqsa Educational Fund.and the HLFRD were in conflict over fund-raising issues...HAMAS Political Bureau head Mousa Abu Marzook designated the HLFRD as the primary fund-raising entity in the United States and ordered the AAEFI to curtail fund-raising operations. Ultimately, Marzook traveled to the United States and chaired a meeting in Dallas, Texas, regarding this issue."

Then, with the conference in its early stages, Shukri Abu Baker makes a telling request, asking the attendees, "Please don't mention the name Samah in an explicit manner. We agree on saying it as 'sister Samah'." An FBI analysis of the meeting assesses that "participants went to great length and spent much effort hiding their association with the Islamic Resistance Movement, a.k.a. HAMAS. Instead, they referred to HAMAS as 'SAMAH', which is HAMAS spelled backwards. Most of the time, the participants referred to HAMAS as 'The Movement.'"

Abu Baker follows up his "Samah" request by informing the group, "the session here is a joint workshop between the Holy Land Foundation and the IAP. This is the official form. I mean, please, in case some [people] inquired." During the HLF trial, federal prosecutors linked these instructions to a security manual seized by authorities during a search of Infocom, Ghassan Elashi's computer company. Under the heading, "The Foundation's Policies & Guidelines," the manual notes that meeting participants must agree "on a cover for the reason of the meeting which is in harmony with the type of the relationship."

Michael Fechter on Mousa Abu Marzook, the current Hamas deputy political director, and convicted felons Abdelrahman Alamoudi and Sami Al-Arian in establishing the Brotherhood network in the U.S. and HLF and other branches:

Let's start with Mousa Abu Marzook, who is a pivotal player in the HLF case. Marzook is the Hamas deputy political director. He came to America in 1981 to pursue an education, which culminated in a doctorate in engineering from a Louisiana correspondence school.

When US officials deported him to Jordan in 1997, he left behind an extensive network of Islamist organizations working in charity, politics and public relations and academia. Each enjoyed widespread mainstream acceptance and each denied any connection to extremism, specifically to Hamas.

If you look at the entities that comprised the Palestine Committee - Marzook is the thread that binds them all together. He was a board member for the Islamic Association for Palestine in 1989 and gave the IAP nearly $500,000. He founded the United Association for Studies and Research, or UASR, which operated mostly from Springfield, Virginia. He gave more than $200,000 to the Holy Land Foundation. And in 1994, Marzook convened a meeting in Mississippi to mediate a dispute between the HLF and Hamas member Mohammed Salah. According to government wiretaps, Marzook designated HLF over Salah as Hamas's primary fund-raising arm in the U.S.

Salah was jailed in Israel for funneling money to Hamas. He, along with the Holy Land Foundation and the IAP, was held liable for damages by a U.S. court for the Hamas murder of American David Boim in 1996. In addition, while acquitted of conspiracy charges for supporting Hamas, Salah is serving nearly two years in prison for lying under oath about his Hamas connections.

The current manifestation of Marzook's time in America is the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a purported "civil rights" group, which absorbed top leadership from both the IAP (Nihad Awad and Omar Ahmad) and UASR (Mohammed Nimr and Nabeel Sadoun). Founded in 1994, CAIR publicly defended Marzook, attempting to spin the detention of the top Hamas official as a "civil rights" issue.

While in custody, Marzook gave a jailhouse interview to Steve McGonigle at the Dallas Morning News. According to McGonigle's April 1996 story, Marzook told him, quote "There is no organization for Hamas outside Palestine at all."

Let's move now to Abdelrahman Alamoudi - he's serving a 23-year sentence for illegal financial dealings with Libya. As part of his guilty plea in 2004, Alamoudi admitted being a Director of Marzook's think tank and to being affiliated with the Marzook Legal Fund - created in the wake the Hamas leader's US detention. Alamoudi didn't disclose those affiliations on naturalization papers, leading to an unlawful procurement of naturalization count against him. He's also an unindicted co-conspirator in the HLF case, the first name listed among Muslim Brotherhood members in the United States.

In 1990, Alamoudi founded the American Muslim Council and became its executive director. AMC became the country's most prominent Islamic public advocacy organization in America. And as a result, Alamoudi arguably was the most influential Muslim political activist in America until his arrest in 2003. He was welcomed by Presidents Clinton and Bush.

President Bush even stood side by side with Alamoudi at a prayer breakfast on September 14th, 2001. A year earlier, Alamoudi spoke at a rally in Lafayette Park, stoking up a cheering crowd by saying Hear that, Bill Clinton, we are all supporters of Hamas . I wish they added that I am also a supporter of Hizballah. Anybody supports Hizballah here?

You can see this video on our website. In it, Mahdi Bray, executive director of the Muslim American Society (MAS) Freedom Foundation, is in the camera shot while Alamoudi speaks. MAS is another activist group that offers itself up as moderate. When Alamoudi invokes Hamas and Hezbollah, Bray raises his arms into the air, smiling. When asked about this recently, he passed it off as a laugh - that Alamoudi somehow was over the top and the crowd was laughing, not cheering him on.

That was one in a series of Alamoudi's fairly open statements in support terrorist groups and extremism. At an IAP conference in Chicago on Dec. 29, 1996, Alamoudi said: "I think if we were outside this country, we can say, 'Oh, Allah, destroy America,' but once we are here, our mission in this country is to change it ... You can be violent anywhere else but in America."

Let's go back to Doug's presentation and the Brotherhood's role in America:

"The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions."

Like Alamoudi, Sami Al-Arian was becoming one of the nation's most prominent Muslim political activists until his arrest. Like Alamoudi, he was welcomed at the White House and courted by political handlers. As a reporter in Tampa, I spent eight years investigating Al-Arian and his connections with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

When my new boss, Steven Emerson, interviewed him in 1994, Al-Arian even feigned ignorance about what those initials P-I-J mean. Yet earlier that year he was overheard on intercepted telephone calls battling the PIJ founder about the organization's finances and his fears the group could disintegrate. Once in court, Al-Arian - through his lawyer - admitted what he had denied for a decade. He was a part of the Islamic Jihad.
Still, he was acquitted on eight counts against him and jurors hung on nine others, including racketeering conspiracy.

It is important to note that every juror who spoke publicly after the verdict believed Al-Arian was part of the PIJ. They felt that wasn't enough to convict him. Al-Arian avoided a retrial by pleading guilty to providing goods and services to the Islamic Jihad. He should have been deported by now, but he's in a jail not too far from here because he, like Abdelhaleem Ashqar in Chicago, refuses to testify before a federal grand jury investigating terrorism ties.

Israel Continues its Efforts to Aid

Darfur Refugees

On Mon., Dec. 10, the United Nations will commemorate the
60th annual Human Rights Day and its Universal Declaration
of Human Rights. According to UN Secretary-General Ban
Ki-moon, “It is our duty to ensure that these rights are a
living reality – that they are known, understood and enjoyed
by everyone, everywhere. It is often those who most need their
human rights protected, who also need to be informed that the
Declaration exists – and that it exists for them.” [1]

Israel has frequently demonstrated its
commitment to aiding those suffering in countries far beyond
Israel, such as offering disaster relief to countries ranging from
El Salvador [2] and Kosovo [3] to Turkey [4] and Sri Lanka. [5]

Israel, despite its small size and limited resources, has once again
taken a prominent role in relieving the suffering of others by granting
asylum to hundreds of refugees from Sudan’s Darfur region. [6]
The four-year-old Darfur conflict has left hundreds of thousands of
Sudanese dead and displaced at least two million others. The brutal
conflict has been marked by widespread atrocities such as raping girls
and murdering civilians. [7]

In Sept. 2007, the Israeli government officially granted asylum to 498
Darfur refugees. [8] In October, the government gave 51 of them new
homes at kibbutzes – collective living settlements – where they are now
living and working. [9]

On Oct. 17, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced that 300 of the
Darfur refugees had been successfully settled in homes in the Negev. [10]

In addition, Israel’s foreign ministry announced in September that it would
donate $5 million to victims of genocide in Darfur. Israel will transfer $4
million to four international aid organizations and purchase $1 million worth
of medicine and water desalination equipment from Israeli companies,
which will be given to the refugees. [11]

The Darfur conflict remains one of the most serious humanitarian crises in
the world today. The UN estimates that the death toll now exceeds 400,000
and that there are more than two million internally displaced persons in
Darfur. [12] In addition, there are more than 200,000 refugees from
Darfur in Chad. [13]

Details of Israel’s Aid to Darfur’s Refugees

• There are significant numbers of Darfur refugees who have made their
way to Egypt and from there across the Sinai desert and into Israel. According
to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees there are
roughly 500 Darfurian refugees in Israel and another 2,500 refugees of other
nationalities and categories. [14]

• Prime Minister Olmert has stated that the government is considering
helping to establish, and contributing towards, additional refugee camps
outside Israel to cope with the influx of African refugees to Israel. According
to a highly-placed source, Ethiopia is a potential location for such camps. [15]

In addition to the efforts of the Israeli government to accommodate the
refugees, there has been a significant level of grassroots, social activism
by Israeli civil society organizations.

• There are a number of organizations set up by activists in Israel to
promote the welfare of the Darfur refugees. One of those is the Committee
for Advancement of Refugees from Darfur (CARD), which consists of a
number of independent human rights NGOs. The committee’s members
coordinate and oversee all the media efforts and political advocacy aimed
at bringing greater public awareness to the Sudanese refugee problem in
Israel. The Committee's volunteers also coordinate and implement various
humanitarian efforts to improve the daily lives of the refugees detained
in prison. [16]

• The Hotline for Migrant Workers, an NGO which promotes the rights of
migrant workers, refugees and other vulnerable groups, has also been very
active on behalf of the Darfur refugees. The group has undertaken legal
action for the refugees and their volunteers visit detention centers, take
testimonies and provide clothes and phone-cards. The Hotline has also
assisted the refugees in gaining medical treatment and homes on
kibbutzes. [17]

• The World Union of Jewish Students Institute (WUJS) in the southern
Israeli town of Arad recently began a Hebrew-language course for
Darfurian refugees living in Arad. About 70 refugees from Darfur
were placed in the Israeli town at the beginning of the summer. The
children are enrolled in local schools, while the adults commute to work
in hotels at the Dead Sea. About 35 adults have also taken advantage
of the free Hebrew classes. [18]

The WUJS center, which is run by the women's Zionist organization
Hadassah, developed the curriculum for the Hebrew classes, while
teachers in Arad are volunteering their time. The classes are held in
Jewish Agency-owned absorption centers in the city.

• The Jewish Agency for Israel is temporarily housing 58 refugees
from Sudan, many of them believed to be from the Darfur area, at
the special request of the Prime Minister’s Office. The group is staying
at the Jewish Agency Ibim Absorption center located near Sderot, where
they are receiving housing, food and medical care. [19]

• Kibbutz Eilot, in the south of the country, has been sent 170 refugees
by the army and Israeli Border Police where they are living and have
also been provided with work and medical care in conjunction with the
Ministry of Health. [20]

• Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael has taken in five Darfur refugees. They work
on the kibbutz, receive free board and electricity and subsidized meals.
They have private Hebrew lessons twice a week and go on day trips to
Tel Aviv. [21]

• Other kibbutzes that have taken in refugees from Darfur include
Kibbutz Ketura, [22] Kibbutz Sde Boker, Kibbutz Tse'elim, [23]
Kibbutz Ma’aleh Hahamisha. [24]

• More than 300 African and Sudanese refugees are working in
hotels in Eilat. Their absorption is the responsibility of the Hotline
for Migrant Workers and the UN Refugee Agency in Israel. The two
organizations have worked together to release refugees being held
in prison compounds and find them housing and employment. [25]

The Brittle Culture of Islam

In Human Events today I discuss implications of the Muhammad Teddy Bear Madness.

Mothers, cover your childrens’ eyes: Gillian Gibbons, a 54-year-old British schoolteacher working in Sudan, has allowed the children in her class to name a teddy bear…Muhammad. The Sudanese government’s reaction teaches us a lesson about the weapon we most neglect in the ideological war with the global jihad.
Gibbons’ blasphemy couldn’t go unpunished. She was sentenced to fifteen days in prison and deportation, but mobs in Khartoum wanted more: on Friday they burned photos of Gibbons and called for her blood while chanting, “Shame, shame on the UK”; “No tolerance -- execution”; and “Kill her, kill her by firing squad.”

Yes, shame on the UK. Shame on the West. Isn’t it time we learned? Manya Brachear, writing at the Chicago Tribune blog The Seeker, thinks so: “Should all have been forgiven or does the teacher’s sentence send a fair message that foreigners should be more sensitive when it comes to religion?” And Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd on ABC’s "The View" scolded Gibbons for not being sensitive to Sudanese customs.
It’s time we get serious about being culturally sensitive. The penalty for blasphemy in Islamic law isn’t fifteen days in prison -- it’s death. What better message of accommodation, then, could we send to the Islamic world in these days of Islamophobia than to hand Gibbons over to the mobs? After all, if she isn’t executed, it will send a signal that blasphemy against Muhammad is just fine -- and what will come next? Blasphemous…cartoons of Muhammad?

Oh, wait, we already had those. And the reaction was frenzy, rage, riots, and -- in that case -- murders of innocent people. It should be clear: the Islamic culture is at this point extremely brittle and insecure. Would Gibbons be pardoned if her “offense” were to have brought a puppy to class? premeditated? Probably not. She might have had to join Salman Rushdie in the elite category of those condemned to death -- irrevocably -- for disrespect to Islam. Amidst the black humor, there is an important point.

The insightful Flemish journalist Paul Belien observed last year, when Muslims were rioting over the Pope’s quoting the 600-year-old words of an obscure emperor: “If a person is incapable of tolerating criticism, including mild criticism, and especially if he perceives criticism where there is none, this is often a sign of this person’s deep psychological insecurity. Rude aggression and wild rage, too, are usually not the normal behaviour of a self-confident person, but rather of someone who knows that he will lose an argument unless he can bully others into silence….It looks as if Muslims cannot cope with an open society and the modern globalized world.”

Even Muslims in the West who condemned the arrest and sentencing of Gibbons did so in disquieting terms. A delegation of British Muslims -- having met with the Sudanese -- apparently expects her to be pardoned. But Muhammad Abdul Bari of the Muslim Council of Britain said: “There was clearly no intention on the part of the teacher to deliberately insult the Islamic faith.” But what if there had been? If Gibbons had named the teddy bear Muhammad in order to mock the Muslim prophet, would Muhammad Abdul Bari have approved of her being arrested, imprisoned, lashed or even executed?

It’s madness, mind-boggling madness: what Bush, Brown, Blair, Rice and the rest keep calling a “great religion” brought to its knees by a teddy bear. But this should be a point for strategists. Years ago, at the height of French Chiracism, William F. Buckley, Jr. pointed out that the French were most vulnerable in their national ego: puncture their balloon and the whole of France zipped around the room, falling flat in a corner. The same would be true if we used humor – and apt insults – against the jihadis.

Many have said that we are in is as much an ideological war as a shooting war. In so many ways, words can be as effective as bullets and bombs. So how do we win the war of ideas against the jihadists? By remembering the Will Rogers Rule.

The great Depression-era comedian was a huge political force because he understood that you can do more political damage by hanging a good joke on someone than by calling him names. And that’s what we need to do in the defense against the global jihad and Islamic supremacism. Our greatest weapons can be humor and ridicule.

Sure, the jihadists look lethally formidable now, but if they can be undone by a stuffed animal, let’s beam Jackie Mason and Dennis Miller behind the Qur’anic curtain, and end this thing once and for all.

Al Qaeda and Islam- Strong As Ever

1 December 2007: I’m quite amused by some people who recently, even as recently as yesterday claiming that al Qaeda is near defeat. I find these statements to be ridiculous as al Qaeda is only one of multiple terrorist entities perpetuating Islamic hatred through violence and Islam itself is no where near defeat. Would I like to be able to say that al Qaeda is near defeat? Absolutely but one must face the hard truth and that is that Islam isn’t going away anytime soon.

That’s the problem with most people as they are looking for a quick, easy fix and reality is that there is not a quick fix for this problem. They think killing and capturing a few terrorist leaders will discourage the rest of the jihadist movement and the rest will lay down their weapons and suddenly become peaceful. This ridiculous thinking is not only haphazard, it is dangerous. It is dangerous because it gives a false hope and merely sets us up for further terrorist attacks as this poison moves in and infiltrates our society and our very way of life. These western religious leaders of late that coddle and embrace Islam and want to draw imaginary comparisons between Christianity and this Islamic filth are misleading the people. Go ahead and classify them in with the false prophets spoken of in the Bible as they are not much more than soothsayers and idiots. You cannot serve two masters.

The war between Islam and Christianity is a clash of religious faiths, cultures and political systems that was foretold many, many centuries ago. There is no way to intermingle the two as they differ completely and the divide will only become larger as time passes. We, as many western nations however ignore the religious implications and claim that the Islamic terrorists are but a few disgruntled, wayward souls that hijacked a “peaceful” religion. This in itself is our biggest downfall. We are losing to the enemy because we as a nation refuse to identify the enemy. The enemy is Islam. Islam is the enemy of all mankind not just Jews and Christians. The focus of Islam is Jews and Christians as we are the only thing standing between them and the destruction of mankind as a whole.

Christians support the Jewish people while Islam seeks the annihilation of Israel as well as the Christians that support them. The Jewish people are God’s chosen people and the people of Islam can only at best, wish they were the chosen ones. As the Muslims are clearly jealous of the favoritism shown to Israel by God, their sole mission is to destroy Israel and this can probably be traced down to anger and pure resentment. I find it quite ironic that the Muslims wish to eliminate a race of people chosen by the Lord God himself as his own, while claiming to be serving God. This clearly indicates the illegitimacy of this farce called Islam and rather pointedly proves that it is nothing more than a death cult, a Nazi like following of murderous savages seeking to destroy everyone and everything that isn’t Islam. The Muslim faith is a mockery of God himself, nothing more. The Bible indicates that man is allowed free will in his religious decisions and will be accountable for his decisions regarding the same to God, not to man. The Qur’an makes man accountable to man instead of God and doesn’t allow for religious free will. Their twisted version of religion demands that you be murdered or destroyed if are not a Muslim. No choice, no variance, no quarter. I guess they must feel that they are higher than God in the food chain and the decision lies solely with them as men. This self appointed position alone indicates the imbalance in any logical thinking on their part and clearly indicates just how twisted the Islamic faith is overall. Islam is purely of Satan himself and God understood way back in the beginning of time that Satan would seek to destroy his creation and his people. There are detailed teaching as to the end of the world and who the two sides will be. Are there other players involved in the end? Yes, but they will fall on one side or the other, whether based on religious beliefs, economics or survival remains to be seen. It boils down to the final conflict between Gods chosen people and those that are not. Draw the lines on the map wherever you wish but the two categories remain the same.

If there is a hope, a prayer for this nation of ours to be a part of the grand design and fall into the right side of the conflict at the end, we had better start cleaning house right here, right now in preparation as we are currently headed down a very dangerous path which takes us as a nation well outside of being on Gods team in the end.

Personally, I prefer to be on the winning team. Somehow though as time passes on and Islam infiltrates and poisons this great team of ours called the United States, I am worried about our coaching staff and team owners as they are not acting in the best interest of our team.

MINUTEMEN DIRECTOR BLASTS MEXICAN PRESIDENT

PHOENIX, AZ —The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) call into question the propriety of interference in the 2008 U.S. presidential election cycle by Mexican President Felipe Calderon, who has chosen to criticize American political discourse and debate regarding border security, immigration issues and the illegal immigration crisis. Calderon complained that our nation is treating illegal immigrants as “thematic hostages.” The Mexican President, who recently was quoted as saying “Mexico doesn’t end at its borders,” is planning to launch a media campaign to influence U.S. presidential candidates from both major parties in order to diminish support for illegal immigration controls in our country. Increased border security and no amnesty legislation for illegal aliens is presently the clear, expressed will of voters nationwide.

“Mr. Calderon should spend more time educating his own politicians about job creation and the rule of law, before he begins interfering in our elections and pointing his finger at U.S. politicians and the American electorate. U.S. citizen taxpayers are fed up with the illegal alien invasion and wide open border lawlessness along our Southern frontier, and they demand that our sovereign American territory be secured and our immigration laws enforced,” states MCDC Executive Director Al Garza. “It is disrespectful for the Mexican President to expect our citizens and their elected officials to bear the burden of responsibility for eradicating poverty in Mexico, when his solution is to encourage Mexican citizens to illegally enter the United States, take jobs and send money back to Mexico without regard for the sovereignty of our country.”

The Mexican government has a well documented history of encouraging its citizens to enter the United States illegally, by providing maps to those making the journey and leaving water in the desert for the illegal entrants. Moreover, Mexico, whose gross national product is primarily based on the drug trade, has on numerous occasions demanded the U.S. government punish our federal border patrol agents for stopping drug smugglers. The Mexican economy benefits greatly by wholesale violation of American law—receiving billions of dollars annually from illegal immigrants who wire money from the U.S. to their families in Mexico.

Michael Savage: The Battle Between Taquiya and Talk Radio

You will have to forgive me, but I have a difficult time taking the war against Moslem extremists seriously. No, I haven't become the latest in a line of anti-American quislings who say the war is "all about oil" or that Islamism is not a threat. It's just that I have trouble mustering enthusiasm for overseas ventures when we allow the enemy's fifth column to operate virtually unopposed on our shores.

I'm talking about the odious Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group that could be the legal arm of al-Qaeda. Although CAIR's machinations usually go unmentioned by the mainstream media, for quite some time now it has been training its sights on anyone who would tackle the Islamic threat with manly strength. It has carried out campaigns against National Review magazine, radio personality Paul Harvey, the producers of the television program 24, and many others who dare say the sultan has no clothes. And now it is targeting award-winning radio talk show host Michael Savage.

CAIR has been pressuring Savage's advertisers to pull their spots from his show, and I'm dismayed to learn that some businesses have capitulated to their demands. Among these cowardly companies are AutoZone, TrustedID, OfficeMax, Citrix Systems Inc., and JCPenney. I will have them know that as long as they dance with the Devil and boycott Savage's show, I will boycott them and encourage others to follow suit. And I have a very long memory.

It's not surprising that business would kneel at the altar of political correctness, as it worships mammon. And, in truth, many people - the good, the bad and the ugly - use their economic clout to try to effect social change; why, some on my side in the culture war are boycotting Ford because it supports the homosexual lobby. But I really have to wonder if these companies know to whom they're kowtowing. Let's take a closer look at CAIR.

If you think that only those on the right take issue with CAIR, think again. In point of fact, the organization is so obviously in the pocket of terrorists that even some of our most left-wing politicians have condemned them. Just consider the following quotations, the first three of which are by liberal Democrats:

"[CAIR is] unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its associations with groups that are suspect." - Senator Richard Durbin

"We know [CAIR] has ties to terrorism . . . intimate links with Hamas." - Senator Chuck Schumer

"To praise [CAIR] because they haven't been indicted is like somebody saying, 'I'm not a crook.'" - Senator Barbara Boxer

"Time and again [CAIR] has shown itself to be nothing more than an apologist for groups bent on the destruction of Israel and Islamic domination over the West." - Congressman Bill Shuster

What would inspire Boxer, Schumer and Durbin - who many characterize as soft on Islamism themselves (some on the right call Durbin "Turban Durbin") - to condemn CAIR so unabashedly? Well, just read what some officers of CAIR and their associates have said.

Omar Ahmad, the co-founder of CAIR, has made no bones about his desire for Islamic hegemony. He once stated,

"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

Then, Ahmad attended a secret meeting at a Philadelphia hotel where Moslem leaders allegedly plotted to disguise money given to the terrorist group Hamas as charitable donations (these proceedings were surreptitiously recorded by the FBI as part an investigation). One of the other attendees, Shukri Abu-Baker, who was recently tried in a federal terror-funding case, said,

"I swear by Allah that war is deception . . . We are fighting our enemy with a kind heart . . .Deceive, camouflage, pretend that you're leaving while you're walking that way. Deceive your enemy."

Ahmad then chimed in, likening the ruse needed to deceive infidels to a head fake in basketball:

"He makes a player believe that he is doing this while he does something else. I agree with you. . . Politics is a completion of war."

Moreover, reports the website Anti-CAIR,

"Omar Ahmad was captured on FBI surveillance tapes at Hamas meetings in the United States during 1993 explaining that the IAP [Islamic Association for Palestine] could not, for political reasons, admit its support for Hamas, and then discussing how the Hamas agenda could be cloaked and advanced."

Another CAIR official, Executive Director Nihad Awad, has been more forthcoming. He once said plainly,

"I am in support of the Hamas movement."

And the above is just a sampling of the damning truth about these jihadists who masquerade as civil rights activists.

To truly grasp the insidiousness of these closet jihadists, one must understand taquiya, a principle that gives Islamists the moral authority to deceive infidels. Taquiya refers to dissimulation, the process of disguising one's true intentions by erecting a facade pleasing to his victims. Writing at Jihad Watch, Gregory M. Davis explains it like this:

In times when the greater strength of dar al-harb [the House of War - places dominated by infidels] necessitates that the jihad take an indirect approach, the natural attitude of a Muslim to the infidel world must be one of deception and omission. Revealing frankly the ultimate goal of dar al-Islam to conquer and plunder dar al-harb when the latter holds the military trump cards would be strategic idiocy.

Unfortunately, the ones guilty of idiocy here are Westerners, as we blithely ignore how these Islamic interlopers are using our own system to destroy us. CAIR and its fellow travelers have been using intimidation and the courts to silence infidels, great and small, who oppose the jihad. For instance, CAIR sued the organization I cited earlier, Anti-CAIR, for $1.35 million for "libelous defamation." This is, I suppose, what they call it when you tell the truth about them.

Then there is the case of former terrorist and current critic of Moslem extremism Zachariah Anani. For his sin of exercising his free speech rights, CAIR and other Islamic groups actually pressured the Canadian government to arrest him under the nation's hate speech laws and deport him.

It should be noted, however, that CAIR's definition of hate speech may be a little different from yours, as in 1998 it co-hosted an event at Brooklyn College during which radical Moslems characterized Jews as "pigs and monkeys" (this is also applied to Christians). I haven't yet heard CAIR condemn those speakers, though. But why would they? That idea is found in the Koran itself and is a common teaching in the Islamic world.

Then, do you remember the case of the six flying imams who were detained before boarding US Airways Flight 300? CAIR even went so far as to sue the passengers who reported their suspicious behavior. The lawsuit has since been dropped, but it illustrates well the lengths to which CAIR will go to intimidate Americans into silence.

And don't think it doesn't work. The Moslem fifth column in our midst is dropping an iron burqa over commentary that accurately frames the Islamic threat. Even if our media didn't don their politically correct corsets, the fear of career destruction, legal action and physical harm would be more than enough to still even fairly tenacious tongues. (As for the last danger, I recently wrote about artists who will not address Islam through their work because they fear for their lives.) And while there is no evidence that CAIR perpetrates violent action, it visits legal and financial beheadings on its victims that terrify all but the most intrepid souls.

This brings us back to Michael Savage. There is no one else of his stature who so bravely exposes the Islamist threat. If CAIR destroys him, they will have felled the World Trade Center of critics. Who, then, would be willing to contend with the sword of Islam? Only the small fish would be left to swim against the current from Mecca, and they would be next as CAIR and its minions worked their way down the food chain.

You don't have to be on Savage's side of the aisle to be in his corner. All good Americans should be outraged that these fifth-column warriors, these barbarians inside the gates, these vile interlopers, are targeting our countrymen for destruction. If you want free and open debate about one of the most important issues of our time, Islamic Jihad, you should care about CAIR. It is a terrorist-enabling organization that has no place in "dar al-harb."

So it shouldn't be hard to figure out who to support in this battle between taquiya and talk radio, not even for us pigs and monkeys.

The Parisian Intifada and “The Project”

Paris is burning, yet again. The Muslim immigrant “youths” in the banlieues have taken to the streets to expand a Western front in the global jihad. This time, however, instead of just burning cars and throwing rocks, this week they have taken up arms against French police. As the Associated Press reported on the violence around Paris late Tuesday, noting the escalation beyond the car-burning intifada of November 2005, such that even apologetic Associated Press reporters are forced to describe the present rioters as “urban guerillas”:

Youths rampaged for a third night in the tough suburbs north of Paris and violence spread to a southern city late Tuesday as police struggled to contain rioters who have burned cars and buildings and — in an ominous turn — shot at officers.

A senior police union official warned that "urban guerrillas" had joined the unrest, saying the violence was worse than during three weeks of rioting that raged around French cities in 2005, when firearms were rarely used.

The urban warfare we are seeing in Paris, as well as the systematic violence by Muslim immigrants in other major cities throughout Europe, are in accord with the strategic planning documents drafted by the Muslim Brotherhood in recent decades in their hopes to establish a global caliphate through jihad.

Here I want to examine these recent events in light of the strategy articulated in two of these planning documents, one focusing generally on the West written in the early 1980s, and another elaborating on their “Civilization-Jihadist Process” developed in the 1990s. This process of confrontation also reflects a traditional Islamic view of constant warfare, muqawama, interspersed with temporary truces, hudna, to regroup for further conflict – a doctrine of warfare adopted by the Muslim Brotherhood.

In May 2006, I introduced FrontPage readers to one such Muslim Brotherhood document known in Western counterintelligence circles as “The Project”. FrontPage readers were the first to read the entire document in English translation, obtained during a December 2001 raid on the compound of Yousef Nada, a primary international Muslim Brotherhood figure and financier.

The document is self-dated December 1982, around the time that the Muslim Brotherhood was engaged in a comprehensive organizational reworking. During this period it was determined that rather than continuing confrontation with the Arab nationalist regimes in the Middle East, the Muslim Brotherhood would direct their efforts elsewhere, particularly Europe, and later, the United States.

In fact, in my introduction to “The Project”, I noted the connection between this strategic planning document and the November 2005 French intifada, as well as other contemporary events in Europe:

What makes The Project so different from the standard “Death of America! Death to Israel!” and “Establish the global caliphate!” Islamist rhetoric is that it represents a flexible, multi-phased, long-term approach to the “cultural invasion” of the West. Calling for the utilization of various tactics, ranging from immigration, infiltration, surveillance, propaganda, protest, deception, political legitimacy and terrorism, The Project has served for more than two decades as the Muslim Brotherhood “master plan”. As can be seen in a number of examples throughout Europe – including the political recognition of parallel Islamist government organizations in Sweden, the recent “cartoon” jihad in Denmark, the Parisian car-burning intifada last November, and the 7/7 terrorist attacks in London – the plan outlined in The Project has been overwhelmingly successful.

The strategic plan outlined within “The Project” specifically directs the connection of Muslim minorities in the West with the global jihadist movements elsewhere in the world as the sole “suggested mission” under the document’s “Ninth Point of Departure”:

THE NINTH POINT OF DEPARTURE

To construct a permanent force of the Islamic dawa and support movements engaged in jihad across the Muslim world, to varying degrees and insofar as possible.

a-Elements:

To protect the dawa with the force necessary to guarantee its security at the local and international levels.

To make contact with all new movements engaged in jihad, everywhere on the planet, and with Muslim minorities, and to create links as needed to establish and support collaboration.

To maintain jihad and awakening throughout the Ummah.

b-Procedures:

To form an autonomous security force to protect the dawa and its disciples locally and worldwide.

To study movements engaged in jihad in the Muslim world, as well as among Muslim minorities, to better understand them.

c-Suggested Missions:

To build bridges between movements engaged in jihad in the Muslim world, and between Muslim minorities, and to support them insofar as possible within a framework of collaboration. [emphasis added]

This theme is also picked up in Eleventh Point of Departure where it directs Muslim Brotherhood leaders to continue to agitate their followers to keep them in what counterterror analyst Oliver Guitta has called a “jihad frame of mind” by leveraging the Palestinian jihad against Israel amongst their followers and “to breed a feeling of resentment towards the Jews and refuse any form of coexistence with them”.

This same template of continuously escalating agitation has been directed against French law enforcement. In the November 2005 intifada, the “hero” was a Muslim boy who electrocuted himself while trying to hide from pursuing police. This most recent incident over the weekend involved the death of two Muslim “youths” riding a stolen motorbike that crashed at a high rate of speed into a police vehicle. Riots around Paris began almost immediately.

Muslim leaders have used these respective incidents to cultivate a “jihad frame of mind” to incite to violence the Muslim immigrant youth in the French cities. Since the November 2005 riots, attacks against police officers have continued on almost a daily basis in the banlieues. Now the attacks have grown more violent as the “urban guerrillas” are using firearms to attack police.

What is happening currently in France, and the campaign of violence and crime used by Muslim leaders elsewhere in Europe (such as Malmo, Sweden, the third largest city in the country that has been paralyzed by violence from the Muslim community against non-Muslims), fits perfectly into the strategic framework outlined in another Muslim Brotherhood document published a decade after “The Project”.

The second Muslim Brotherhood document I want to examine came out of the Holy Land Foundation terror financing trial this past summer as an exhibit for the prosecution. Entitled, “An Explanatory Memorandum: On the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America”, bears a publication date of May 1991, but indicates that it represents principles outlined by the Muslim Brotherhood as early as 1987.

Under Section Four of the document, “The Process of Settlement”, it identifies the “grand mission” of the organization as the “Civilization Jihadist responsibility”:

In order for Islam and its Movement to become “a part of the homeland” in which it lives, “stable” in the land, “rooted” in the spirits and minds of its people, “enabled” in the lives of its society and has firmly-established “organizations” on which the Islamic structure is built and with which the testimony of the civilization is achieved, the Movement must plan and struggle to obtain “the keys” and the tools of this process in carry out this grand mission as a “Civilization Jihadist” responsibility which lies on the shoulders of Muslim and – on top of them – the Muslim Brotherhood in this country. (page 5 of 18)

In that same section, it directs leaders to foster “understanding the role of the Muslim Brother in North America” as the destruction and “sabotaging” of Western civilization from within through the “Civilization-Jihadist Process”:

The process of settlement is a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” with all the means. The Ikhwan [the Arabic name for the Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is not escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack. But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be equal. (Page 7 of 18, emphasis added)

The critical aspect to the “Civilization-Jihadist Process” is that it works upon two separate lines: “their (non-Muslim) hands” and “the hands of believers”. The document further outlines how to exploit existing internal weaknesses within Western civilization: “we must possess a mastery of the art of ‘coalitions’, the art of ‘absorption’ and the principles of ‘cooperation’”. Through internal sabotage and creating their own external pressure (jihad/terrorism), they aim to topple the West. (I would highly recommend the respective detailed analyses of this Muslim Brotherhood document by my colleagues LTC Joseph Myers, Pentagon analyst Stephen Coughlin, and the researchers at the NEFA Foundation.)

The present violence we are seeing in France and elsewhere is undeniably the Muslim Brotherhood’s “Civilization-Jihadist Process” at work. As I previously noted, the violence in France never officially ended after November 2005, it just continued on a limited scale low enough to prevent a forceful response by authorities. With a new pretended provocation, the forces of jihad have re-inflamed their supporters, only in this case escalating matters even further by resorting to arms.

This jihadist pattern of intense peaks of violence, followed by extended periods of low-level conflict, then with even more intense violence, is a pattern used by the Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestinian arm, HAMAS, in their insurgency against Israel. As described by Yaniz Ofek here at FrontPage earlier this month, “The Islamic ‘Muqawama’”, the doctrine of muqawama is a “long, obstinate, and persistent struggle”.

But unlike conventional warfare, as Ofek notes, muqawama can be distinguished by four unique patterns:

1) Muqawama, whether in Israel or in the West, is seen as part of the larger global jihad;

2) Little emphasis is placed on territory;

3) Death is seen as an advantage;

4) Battle is almost conducted amongst civilians.

Ehud Yaari of the Washington Institute also explains (“The Muqawama Doctrine”) in this constant state of warfare, both HAMAS and Hezbollah have acknowledged that “when in need of a respite, it is permitted to reach hudna (armistice) agreements, valid for a limited period only.” These periods of hudna do not necessarily mean the complete cessation of hostilities, but reining in the violence to lower levels to prepare for the next expected period of assault without provoking confrontation with the enemy. This has been the official pattern of conflict followed for the past two decades by HAMAS.

The endgame of muqawama and the “Civilization-Jihadist Process” is “the erosion of the enemy’s resolve”. For this reason, as Yaari notes, “the essence is to spill blood, and since that is the case, it is better to focus on the civilian population as the primary target”.

The French intifada is taking place not only in the heart of France, but in the heart of Europe itself. Much like the 9/11 attacks that were directed at the financial and political centers of America, both symbolically and really, the constant campaign of violence by Muslims throughout Europe are intended to extend the global jihad to the deepest centers of the West. But rather than confront the West militarily, the battle against Western civilization that they have already enjoined is going to take place in the banlieues, not the battlefield. Various instruments of violence are being used, ranging from crime, rioting, and as we see in Paris today, urban warfare. Terrorism is currently used only occasionally to initiate peak periods, but we can expect its increased use as the conflict continues.

The difficulty for us on the working end of the “Civilization-Jihadist Process” is that our leaders have steadfastly refused to understand the nature of the threat and the interrelation between what is happening in Paris, France and Khandahar, Afghanistan. While different methodologies are being used, the endgame is still the same: the establishment of the global caliphate through jihad. We must come to terms with strategy and operations of radical Islam in the West, the manner in which they manage conflict, and realize the immanent nature of the threat already in our midst – a lesson the French are learning first-hand.

Until we do, the strategic planning of the forces of the global jihad, as expressed in “The Project” and other Muslim Brotherhood planning documents, will continue to meet with unimpeded success.

CAIR: Exploiting Children For Jihad Propaganda?

Choked for eight seconds against a wall, threatened with death by BB-gun, punched in the arm, and having a head scarf pulled off. Pretty scary stuff, especially if you are an 11 year old.

CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) recently pressed local school officials in Pinellas County (Florida) to investigate a threat it says was made against Hannah Chehab, an 11 year-old female Muslim student.

CAIR's local executive director, Ahmed Bedier, said that CAIR's primary concern is the safety of Hannah and the other students at the school.

Remember, this sudden "concern" for Hannah comes from CAIR, an organization with proven ties to Islamic terrorism and Islamic terrorists. CAIR co-founder Omar Ahmad is a former officer in the Islamic Association for Palestine, a terrorist group. CAIR executive director Nihad Awad participated in a Hamas meeting in the United States where plans to derail a peace initiative were discussed. Ibrahim Hooper, CAIR spokesman, is a former employee of the Islamic Association for Palestine. Hooper is well known for his reply of "CAIR does not support these groups publicly" when asked about CAIR's public support of Hamas, Hizballah, and other government-declared terrorist organizations.

To be blunt, to expect CAIR to be concerned about a single student, Muslim or otherwise, would ordinarily be laughable if this matter weren't so serious.

Now, to the charges.

To her claim of being choked for eight seconds against a wall; there are no supporting video tapes or witnesses.

The allegation that she was threatened with a BB-gun finds no reliable witnesses.

As to being punched in the arm and having her headscarf pulled off, the words of fellow students are illustrative:

"In the seven-page police report, 11- and 12-year-old schoolmates say Hannah and the boy actually are friends and were constantly talking and playing around. One girl told investigators that the scarf incident occurred after Hannah had tapped the boy on the head. When he did the same, Hannah tried to push his hand away and the head scarf came off, the girl said."

The bottom line is that a couple of school kids had a falling out; the parents may have panicked and called CAIR.

Of course, CAIR interjected their noses into a non-issue and tried to elevate it to the level of a heinous hate-crime.

Why would CAIR take a classroom spat between friends, and attempt to turn it into national headlines? Because CAIR is a front for the terrorist group Hamas, and Hamas eagerly exploits children as tools for Jihad propaganda.

Like CAIR, Hamas has no problem putting children in front of cameras to advance their cause. Hamas has done this using Mickey Mouse type characters with a child host to indoctrinate Palestinian youth to a militant mindset.

To be sure, CAIR did nothing as horrific to young Hannah Chehab. They seemed to do everything they could, however, to exploit her for CAIR's ongoing propaganda campaign to portray the "oppressive" conditions of Muslims living in America.

Not everyone was impressed with this "press conference".

If any parent, Muslim or otherwise, believes that their child has been the victim of a crime while in school, they should do the sensible thing and call the school and the police. In this case, there was not enough supporting evidence from classmates and staff who witnessed the incident to back up Hannah Chehab's press conference claims. Both the school and the police reached the same conclusion.

Why did Hannah's claims change between the time of the incident and her CAIR press conference?

Or, were these press conference "claims" really Hannah's in the first place ... ?

26 November 2007: Today, the Washington Times is reporting that "Fort Huachuca, the nation's largest intelligence-training center, changed security measures in May after being warned that Islamist terrorists, with the aid of Mexican drug cartels, were planning an attack on the facility." In an interesting near-convergence of events, the Northeast Intelligence Network warned of an increased risk of an attack on military bases in the Southwestern United States on March 1, a full two-(2) months before security measures were ramped up at the installation.

The warning made public by the Northeast Intelligence Network stemmed from the seizure of a tractor-trailer registered in Texas containing an unprecedented shipment of weapons, ammunition and armored vehicles. At the time of the seizure, authorities and numerous counter-terrorism analysts claimed the weapons were destined for use by warring drug cartels in Mexico and emphatically denied that they were intended to be used against assets inside the U.S.

Analysis: Weapons seized in US-Mexican border town suggest large-scale operation

25 February 2007: Over the past couple of days, I have analyzed additional imagery and data associated with the report of a large cache of weapons and other military supplies seized in Tamaulipas, Mexico across from Brownsville, Texas [Initial report HERE]. Contrary to various public assessments, my analysis suggests that these weapons were not intended for an assault of one Mexican narco-gang against a rival gang within the territory of Mexico, but were intended for a larger and more specific operation within the United States.

My analysis involved additional images other than what is shown below, and noted that there were a total of three civilian up-armored vehicles with bullet-proof glass seized in this shipment. The assault weapons and ammunition seized was sufficient to equip 3 six-man squads of a special operations capable strike force, with at least 400 rounds per man. The rifle and handgun ammunition consisted of armor-piercing, tracer and hollow point rounds; the M203 grenade launcher ammunition was primarily of the fragmentary type along with one armor-piercing round. This force is assessed to be comprised of former Mexican Army troops known as Zetas in addition to Islamic terrorist operatives. Click "read more" above for complete article.

The potential targets of this force range from an outrageous and unprecedented raid to liberate the Mexican Gulf Cartel narco-boss, Osiel Cardenas GUILLEN, currently being held for trial in Houston, Texas to other possibilities such as an assault on a state legislature or a similar body in Texas or elsewhere within the U.S. One other possibility includes the execution of a very large "false-flag" operation. This assessment continues as new information is being developed.

The types, the quantities, and the nature of the various weapons and ammunition seized, in addition to the other miscellaneous military equipment and vehicles are assessed to be directly related to a special operations-like assault of significant magnitude somewhere in the USA rather than utilization in a narco-gang war in Mexico. It is obvious that a large-scale operation was set to be executed in the very near term. Additional analysis and investigation is continuing.

23 February 2007: On February 11, 2007, a tractor-trailer registered in Texas and containing a large shipment of weapons, ammunition and a Nissan pickup truck fitted with armor and bullet-proof glass was stopped by the Mexican army in Matamoros, just south of the U.S. border at Brownsville, Texas.

The weapons seized included 18 M-16 assault rifles, including at least one equipped with an M-203 40mm grenade launcher, several M-4 carbines, 17 handguns of various calibers, over 200 magazines for different weapons, and more than 8,000 rounds of ammunition, assault vests and other military accessories.

Although the origin of the shipment is unclear, it is vividly obvious that areas along the U.S.-Mexican border are as much war zones as transshipment points. Matamoros has long been recognized as a vital choke point for the shipment of drugs, weapons and illegal aliens, including Islamic terrorists, into the United States from Mexico. Based on the sophistication of the weapons seized earlier this month, it is apparent that a battle is shaping up just across the border from Brownsville – one that will undoubtedly have ominous implications for those protecting our southern border.

WHAT IF 20 MILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS VACATED AMERICA?

Tina Griego, journalist for the Denver Rocky
Mountain News wrote a column titled, 'Mexican
Visitor's Lament' -- 10/25/07.

She interviewed Mexican journalist Evangelina
Hernandez while visiting Denver last week. Hernandez
said,

'They (illegal aliens) pay rent, buy groceries, buy
clothes... what happens to your country's economy if
20 million people go away?'

That's a good question - it deserves an answer. Over
80 percent of Americans demand secured borders and
illegal migration stopped. But what would happen if
all 20 million or more vacated America? The answers
may surprise you!

a.. In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens
moved back to Mexico, it would leave an extra $10.2
billion to spend on overloaded school systems,
bankrupted hospitals and overrun prisons. It would
leave highways cleaner, safer and less congested.
Everyone could understand one another as English
became the dominate language again.
b.. In Colorado, 500,000 illegal migrants, plus
their 300,000 kids and grand-kids - would move back
'home,' mostly to Mexico. That would save Coloradans
an estimated $2 billion (other experts say $7 BIL)
annually in taxes that pay for schooling, medical,
social-services and incarceration costs. It means
12,000 gang members would vanish out of Denver
alone.
c.. Colorado would save more than $20 million in
prison costs, and the terror that those 7,300 alien
criminals set upon local citizens. Denver Officer

have suffered death, accidents, rapes and other
crimes by illegals.
d.. Denver Public Schools would not suffer a 67
percent drop out/flunk out rate via thousands of

from our gridlocked cities in Colorado. Denver's
four percent unemployment rate would vanish as our
working poor would gain jobs at a living wage.
e.. In Florida, 1.5 million illegals would return
the Sunshine State back to America, the rule of law
and English.
f.. In Chicago, Illinois, 2.1 million illegals
would free up hospitals, schools, prisons and
highways for a safer, cleaner and more crime-free
experience.

If 20 Million Illegal Aliens Returned 'Home' --

If 20 million illegal aliens returned 'home,' the
U.S. economy would return to the rule of law.
Employers would hire legal American citizens at a
living wage. Everyone would pay their fair share of
taxes because they wouldn't be working off the
books. That would result in an additional $401
billion in IRS income taxes collected annually, and
an equal amount for local state and city coffers.

No more push '1' for Spanish or '2' for English. No
more confusion in American schools that now must
contend with over 100 languages that degrade the
educational system for American kids. Our
overcrowded schools would lose more than two million
illegal alien kids at a cost of billions in ESL
(English As A Second Language) and free
breakfasts and lunches.

We would lose 500,000 illegal criminal alien inmates
at a cost of more than $1.6 billion annually. That
includes 15,000 MS-13 gang members who distribute
$130 billion in drugs annually would vacate our
country. In cities like L.A., 20,000 members of the

our crowded highways and gridlock. Cleaner air and
less drinking and driving American deaths by illegal

Drain On America's Economy; Taxpayers Harmed,
Employers Get Rich

Over $80 billion annually wouldn't return to their
home countries by cash transfers. Illegal migrants
earned half that money untaxed, which further drains
America's economy - which currently suffers an $8.7
trillion debt.

At least 400,000 anchor babies would not be born in
our country, costing us $109 billion per year per
cycle. At least 86 hospitals in California, Georgia
and Florida would still be operating instead of
being bankrupted out of existence because illegals
pay nothing via the EMTALA Act. (Emergency Medical
Treatment and Active Labor Act) Americans wouldn't
suffer thousands of TB and hepatitis cases rampant
in our country-brought in by illegals unscreened at

Texas to San Diego, California in what the New York
Times called, 'colonias' or new neighborhoods.
Trouble is, those living areas resemble Bombay and
Calcutta where grinding poverty, filth, diseases,
drugs, crimes, no sanitation and worse. They live
without sewage, clean water, streets, electricity,
roads or any kind of sanitation. The New York Times
reported them to be America's new 'Third World'
inside our own country. Within 20 years, at their
current growth rate, they expect 20 million
residents of those colonias. (I've seen them
personally in Texas and Arizona; it's sickening
beyond anything you can imagine.) By enforcing our
laws, we could repatriate them back to Mexico.

Muslims Against Sharia

Frontpage Interview's guest today is Khalim Massoud, the president of Muslims Against Sharia, an Islamic reform movement.

FP: Khalim Massoud, welcome to Frontpage Interview.

Massoud: Thank you.

FP: Tell us why it is necessary for you to wear sunglasses in the picture you gave us to use of you.

Massoud: As you might imagine, Islamists are not particularly happy with our group. According to our poll, over 20% of Muslims want us beheaded. I am perfectly content with my head not being separated from my body and I'd like to keep it that way for as long as I can.

FP: Sounds like a good idea.

Tell us what Muslims Against Sharia is about.

Massoud: Our organization is created to give voice to moderate Muslims who are virtually ignored by governments and media and to expose the radicals masquerading as moderates. Our goals are

* to educate Muslims about dangers presented by Islamic religious texts and why Islam must be reformed.

* to educate non-Muslims about the differences between moderate Muslims and Islamists (a.k.a. Islamic Religious Fanatics, Radical Muslims, Muslim Fundamentalists, Islamic Extremists or Islamofascists).

* to educate both Muslims and non-Muslims alike that Moderate Muslims are also targets of Islamic Terror.

FP: Why do you think moderate Muslims are virtually ignored by governments and the media?

Massoud: Most of American mosques are financed and run by Wahhabis. Wahhabi imams are anything but moderate, hence most of religious leaders are radicals. So-called "civil rights" groups, i.e., CAIR, MPAC, ICNA, MAS, etc. that comprise Muslim establishment are nothing more than offshoots of the Muslim Brotherhood and fronts for Hamas and al-Qaeda. They are very well financed and are extremely skilful manipulators of the media. And most of the people in government and media truly believe that those groups are moderate, because they are either too lazy to do research or they choose to ignore terrorist ties.

As a result, when either the government or the media needs an Islamic point of view, Muslim establishment groups are go-to "experts" by default. With the "expert" seat being filled, moderate Muslims are left out.

Another problem with moderate Muslims is they are scared and not organized. They are scared because they cannot speak up in mosques for fear of being kicked out and there are virtually no organizations that represent their views. They are not organized, because, unlike the radical, they do not receive tens of millions of dollars in financial support, therefore they have to work for a living.

FP: Why do radical Muslims masquerade as moderates? What are their strategies in doing this? Are they effective in doing so? Who have been some of the radicals that have been exposed?

Massoud: Radical Muslims are masquerading as moderates because they have no control over the military and police. Yet.

They cannot openly proclaim their agenda of Islamic domination in front of Western audiences. They are gradually taking over the West. Some countries in Europe (France, Britain, Germany, etc.) are partially ruled by Sharia law, and even up in Canada, there is talk about Sharia courts for Muslim communities.

Their strategy is very simple. They constantly claim that they are peaceful and moderate, and Western media is more than happy to repeat that nonsense. They do not praise terrorism in public, but they justify it by playing the Muslim victimhood card. And they are very effective at it.

Many radical organizations have already been exposed by counter-terrorism researches like Steven Emerson, John Loftus, Rachel Ehrenfeld, Joe Kaufman, Paul Sperry, Zeyno Baran, and many others. The proof that the Muslim establishment is anything but moderate is widely available. However, the government and the media either for political reasons or out of sheer stupidity completely ignore it.

FP: Is it possible to give a simple answer to this question: what exactly is the difference between a moderate Muslim and a radical Muslim? Where is the fine line that separates them?

Massoud: Absolutely. The determining criteria is the belief in Islamic supremacy. Radical Muslims believe in Islamic supremacy, which makes them religiously obligated to wage Jihad for world domination, using both terrorism and gradual subversion of host societies. Moderate Muslims consider their religion a private matter and believe in religious equality.

FP: What are some of the dangers presented by Islamic religious texts? If you are a Muslim, then how can you reject these texts and remain a faithful Musilm?

Massoud: Most of the dangers are presented by passages based on Islamic supremacy doctrine. The Koran contains verses that command us to subjugate or murder non-Muslims in order to create Islamic rule. On the other hand, the Koran teaches preciousness of human life. How can a logical person believe that those diametrically opposed concepts came from the same source? How could Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate be the source of "kill [infidels] them wherever you find them"? The only logical explanation is that the Koran has been corrupted over the centuries, and all we want to do is to revert it as close as possible to the original.

FP: I would like to touch on your intriguing point that “the Koran has been corrupted over the centuries, and all we want to do is to revert it as close as possible to the original. “ Is there any textual support for such a notion? And doesn't this notion run counter to the Islamic doctrine of the perfection of the Qur'an, which insists that the Qur'anic text is the same as it was in the time of Uthman? In light of these considerations, do you think you will gain much support in the Islamic world?

Massoud: We do not have any direct evidence that the Koran has been corrupted over the centuries. However, there is some circumstantial evidence supporting our point. First, if you take two English Korans translated by two different people, the difference could be very substantial. Substantial to the point that the same verses could have completely different meaning. Case in point: a recent arrest of Ghows Zalmay, who, according to the fundamentalists, misinterpreted some verses in the Koran.

Based on these facts, it is reasonable to conclude that when the Koran was copied many times over, the mere mortals who did the copying might have "adjusted" the texts to reflect their personal views, or the views of their superiors.

Second is deductive reasoning. The Koran contains verses that represent mutually exclusive concepts, i.e., human 'life is precious' vs. 'kill the infidels wherever you find them' or 'respect the People of the Book' vs. 'do not take Jews and Christians for friends'.

Allah is infallible and cannot contradict himself, which means that some of those verses are not the literal word of Allah. Also, how can Allah, who is the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate be a source of "kill them [infidels] wherever you find them"?

The only logical explanation is that the Koran we have today was significantly altered.

As for gaining much support in Islamic world, we believe that education is the key. Our experience shows that if we present our view to an open-minded sceptic, chances are we'll gain a supporter.

FP: How and why must Islam be reformed? Is this really possible? Some would argue that if you take the Islam out of Islam, it will no longer be an Islam. What would you say to that?

Massoud: Islam in its present form is incompatible with modern society, that's why it needs to be reformed. The first step is to abandon the doctrine of Islamic supremacy and remove passages from religious texts that could be interpreted (or misinterpreted) as calls to violence. We believe it is possible. Muslims, just as all other people, are human beings. If Christians could abandon the Inquisition, Muslims can abandon Jihad. Taking violence out of Islam is not the same as taking Islam out of Islam. It is a historical fact that major religions like Christianity and Judaism have undergone reformations on more than one occasion. Islamic reformation is no different.

FP: I very much appreciate your position and your goals are truly admirable. I would just like to say that the Christian reformation and the potential Islamic reformation are different. Christians easily abandoned the Inquisition because the Inquisition was un-Christian and had no foundation in Christian texts. The key is that when Christians have behaved in aggressive or intolerant ways, their acts were not based on Christian teachings; their acts were un-Christian. But the same cannot be said for Muslims when they engage in aggression and intolerance, since such behavior is a fulfillment of their theological mandates. All the schools of Islamic jurisprudence teach that it is part of the responsibility of the umma to subjugate the non-Muslim world through jihad.

But in any case, it is all of our great hope that Muslims such as yourself can succeed in the reformation you wish to engender in Islam. The key though: isn’t there a belief among Muslims that the Koran is the literal world of Allah and that it cannot be tampered with?

Massoud: The original Koran is the literal world of Allah and should not have been tampered with. The Almighty God, whether you call him Yahweh or Allah, is infallible. Since modern versions of the Koran contain contradictions, they cannot possibly be the literate word of God. Therefore, the belief that the modern Koran is untouchable is based on ignorance. God gave people free will, and unscrupulous people who were supposed to safeguard the Koran corrupted it instead. Now, we must change it back.

I also do not believe that all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence teach that it is part of the responsibility of the Ummah to subjugate the non-Muslim world through Jihad, i.e., Sufism.

FP: I am a bit confused as to who can arrogate to themselves the authority to be the arbiter of what the “original” Koran actually said. What if some Muslims argued that they need to “change it back” to get rid of all the peaceful messages that the Koran has in it, on the premise that the violent passages represent the real Koran? Wouldn’t this make more sense since the historical Mohammed was himself a military man who waged war, captured slaves, preached war against unbelievers, etc.? He led by example did he not? If this is not true, then how exactly do you argue that Islam is meant to be peaceful if Mohammed was himself a man of war?

It also appears from your words that you reject the idea of abrogation, as delineated by Qur'an 2:106. If so, how do you propose to distinguish between the original Qur'an you are saying existed and the interpolated passages, since there is no textual evidence for such an original Qur'an?

Also, what do you make of the fact that the Qadari movement, which upheld free will, was declared heretical by numerous Islamic authorities and eventually wiped out?

I would also like to touch on the point of the schools of Islamic jurisprudence. In terms of Sufism, for example, it remains a bit of mystery why this sect of Islam is constantly portrayed as being non-violent and tolerant when the history of the Sufis is actually one of violent jihad. The jihad in Chechnya is a prime example.

Also, Sufism is an order, a way of mysticism, not a school of Islamic jurisprudence. Moreover, the pioneering Sufi, Al-Ghazali, was clear that his Sufism did not negate his support for Islamic supremacism. Andrew Bostom has published this quote from Al-Ghazali:

"[O]ne must go on jihad (i.e., warlike razzias or raids) at least once a year...one may use a catapult against them [non-Muslims] when they are in a fortress, even if among them are women and children. One may set fire to them and/or drown them...If a person of the Ahl al-Kitab [People of The Book – primarily Jews and Christians] is enslaved, his marriage is [automatically] revoked…One may cut down their trees...One must destroy their useless books. Jihadists may take as booty whatever they decide...they may steal as much food as they need...[T]he dhimmi is obliged not to mention Allah or His Apostle…Jews, Christians, and Majians must pay the jizya [poll tax on non-Muslims]…on offering up the jizya, the dhimmi must hang his head while the official takes hold of his beard and hits [the dhimmi] on the protruberant bone beneath his ear [i.e., the mandible]… They are not permitted to ostentatiously display their wine or church bells…their houses may not be higher than the Muslim’s, no matter how low that is. The dhimmi may not ride an elegant horse or mule; he may ride a donkey only if the saddle[-work] is of wood. He may not walk on the good part of the road. They [the dhimmis] have to wear [an identifying] patch [on their clothing], even women, and even in the [public] baths…[dhimmis] must hold their tongue…. (From the Wagjiz, written in 1101 A.D.)"

What are your thoughts on these realities?

Mr. Massoud, please do not misunderstand by questions and arguments here. I am in full support of you and your organization and it is obviously the West’s and the world’s prayer that Muslims will follow people like you. I am only asking these questions to clarify matters and to crystallize if the possibility of an Islamic reformation is truly a genuine hope and can be based on strong and realistic foundations.

Massoud: We do not claim to have authority to be arbiters of what the original Koran said. What we do, is put forth our arguments why we believe that the modern Koran is not the same as the original. It is up to the Ummah to judge the validity of our arguments and whether accept or reject them.

The notion that violent passages represent the real Koran is contradictory to the notion that Allah is the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, therefore, we believe it is incorrect. The issue of the Prophet Muhammad is very complicated. On the one hand, he was a human, and, therefore, imperfect. On the other hand, it is impossible to know how much of the historical accounts of that time are true and how much is fiction. If the Koran could have been changed over the centuries, so is the version of events surrounding Mohammad's life.

The idea of abrogation would run contrary to the idea of Allah's infallibility. We cannot with absolute certainty distinguish between the divine and 'man-made' verses. But we can do the best we can by using common sense. As for the Qadari movement (which I am not familiar with), not every reform movement achieves its goals, but that does not mean that we shouldn't even try.

Sufism may have its dark aspects, but in today's world it is as close to our idea of Islam as it gets. Sufi Islamic Supreme Council of America is the only real Islamic religious authority in the North America that does not advocate ideas of Islamic supremacy. Jihad in Chechnya is not indicative of Sufism. The remnants of Sufism that survived 70 years of Soviet rule are dominated by Wahhabism. Calling Chechen mujahideen Sufi is just as misleading as calling CAIR moderate.

Mr. Glazov, there is no reason to qualify your questions. They are legitimate attempts to get to the truth of the matter and nobody should be offended by honest and direct questions about 'sensitive' subjects. Failing to ask those questions is what got us where we are today in the first place.

FP: Can you talk a bit about how moderate Muslims are also targets of Islamic terror?

Massoud: Darfur. Hundreds of thousands of Black Muslims are murdered by the radicals. Algeria: more than a hundred thousands of Muslims are murdered by the radicals. Iraq: tens of thousands of Muslims are murdered by the radicals. Afghanistan, Lebanon, Gaza, West Bank, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Chechnya. Any place where there is conflict that involves Muslims, moderates are being murdered by radicals. Radical Muslims wage Jihad to kill infidels, and many of them consider moderate Muslims as infidels. This is a DHS-type threat level table that illustrates my point:

FP: Earlier you noted that a poll your group did revealed that roughly one-fifth of Muslims think that Muslims like you should be beheaded. What is your interpretation of this fact?

Massoud: Muslims like us present the biggest danger to the Islamists because we are destroying the myth of moral authority of the fundamentalism. When non-Muslims point out flaws in Islam, the radicals dismiss them as Islamophobes. When Muslims talk about problems with Islam, they are not as easy to dismiss. Moderate Muslims are the best antidote to Islamist venom and Western governments are being very unwise to choose radicals over moderates.

FP: So what is the most effective way we can help moderates and reformers such as yourselves?

Massoud: You, meaning non-Muslims, must stop living in your PC fantasy world, stop worrying about offending Muslims, and start calling things what they are. You must draw a clear distinction between Muslims and Islamofascists, between Islam and Islamism. Muslims will not be offended at the term "Islamofascism" as long as it is clear that the term applies to Islamists, not Muslims in general. You can no longer afford to pretend that there is no global war between Islamists and the rest of the world. You must pressure the government and the media to stop whitewashing (and cut all ties with) Islamists. Just because Islamists claim to be moderates, that doesn't make it so.

You must stop financing radical Islamic regimes like Saudi Arabia and Iran, but sending billions of Petro-Dollars to the Persian Gulf. You must provide political (and should provide financial) support for moderate Muslim groups, i.e., American Islamic Forum for Democracy. There are plenty of moderate Muslims who would join the fight against Islamism, given the chance. It must be made absolutely clear that terrorism is a military issue and terrorism cases, i.e., HLF or al-Arian, have no place in civilian courts. When Islamists praise bin Laden, march with "Hizballah is our Army" posters, or desecrate the American flag, you call it freedom of speech. But when a counter-terrorism researcher protests against events organized by Islamists, he is charged with harassment and gets a restraining order. And when another counter-terrorism researcher sheds light on Islamist-al Qaeda ties, she is sued for libel.

FP: Are you optimistic that non-Muslims and moderate Muslims that want to preserve Western civilization and liberty will be able to defeat the force of radical Islam?

Massoud: Yes, if the West wakes up before it’s too late. Unfortunately, at this time, the West seems to be more interested in Left vs. Right rather than Freedom vs. Slavery & Death.

Report: Donations to Hillary Clinton's campaign from Muslims under investigation for jihad financing

Obviously, the Clinton camp has some explaining to do. But the larger story is that the suspects in question have donated to other campaigns, and usual, there is a Saudi connection.

Presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., has taken thousands of dollars in cash donations from Islamists under federal investigation for terror-financing, money laundering and tax fraud, WND has learned.

The Democrat senator over the past seven months has received $1,000 from M. Yaqub Mirza and another $500 from M. Omar Ashraf, federal campaign records show. Federal agents raided the Virginia homes and offices of the Muslim donors after 9/11 for ties to terrorism.

Others tied to the still-active probe also have contributed money to Clinton, including one Muslim man who after 9/11 complained the U.S. government should focus on changing its Mideast policies instead of killing Osama bin Laden and other Islamic terrorists.

Mirza, who also has given to other candidates, including Republicans, is said to act on behalf of Saudi millionaire Yassin al-Qadi, who the U.S. Treasury Department in October 2001 blacklisted as an al-Qaida financier.
